    MEAL Coordinator

    Location: Yola-South,  Lamurde - Adamawa

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MEAL Coordinator.
    • The successful candidate will lead in collecting and analyzing data, conducting assessments, and providing insights to improve program performance and impact.
    • The MEAL Coordinator will work closely with the team, partners, and communities to ensure accountability and learning, ultimately contributing to the delivery of high-quality services to affected populations.

    Responsibilities

    • Designing and implementing MEAL plans and tools
    • Collect and analyze data on program indicators and outcomes
    • Conduct field visits and assessments to monitor program progress
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve program performance
    • Support accountability mechanisms, such as community feedback and complaints response
    • Contribute to learning and knowledge management, including documentation and reporting
    • Provide technical support on MEAL to program staff.

    Requirements

    LGA Team Lead

    Job Summary

    • Supervise the overall implementation of the project technical aspect, ensuring adequate communication between LESGO and field staff, stakeholders and Agencies.
    • S/he will provide technical leadership and support to strengthen all health interventions, and performance reporting within the targeted geographic area, which may include strengthening capacity of health workers and other stakeholders to monitor, document and analyze the performance of health services and activities and ensure data quality. /S/he reports directly to Project Manager.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • Coordinates and supervises activities of Clinical Supervisors
    • Counsel and referring advanced issues to secondary healthcare
    • Work with the MEAL Officer to Monitor and Evaluate the effectiveness of facility and outreaches, making recommendations for improvement as needed
    • Provide overall managerial oversight for implementation of the health program activities in the target LGA;
    • Ensure health projects implementation are of high quality and meets the LESGO/ optimal standards.
    • Provide technical support to field staff and provide them necessary mentoring and trainings as needed to enhance their capacity for optimal performance
    • Ensure data collection, data compilation, timely preparation and submission of all reports including weekly and periodic reports

    • Approve and manage all time, attendance and leave requests to ensure adequate departmental coverage; ensure monthly, accurate timesheet submission.

    Qualifications

    • Health professional (B.Sc Public Health, Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife etc)
    • 5 - 6 years’ experience in coordinating, implementing and managing primary and secondary health programs
    • Experience in writing donors’ reports.
    • Have experience in general management.

    Clinical Supervisor

    Locations: Lamurde and Yola South - Adamawa

    Job Summary

    • This position will be responsible for the Coordination of health services through the provision of clinical services in facilities and in the field (Mobile Services).
    • The Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical service delivery team using applicable principles of Social Work and/or Counseling which include - patient psychosocial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, family intervention, patient/family education and treatment planning.
    • Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with project goal. Organizing workflow and ensuring field staff understand their duties or delegated tasks. Monitoring field staff and facility focal persons productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching. He/She reports to LGA Team Lead.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • Shall report to the LGA Team Lead
    • Supervise health workers and volunteers (Nurses, CHEWs and CHVs)
    • Mobilize and coordinate facility and field health volunteers during service delivery at facility level and mobile outreaches
    • Develop and implement community outreach plans to increase awareness in target communities or locations
    • Maintain and Keep accurate records of activities, and meetings and submit same to Team lead on weekly or as may be required
    • Undertake/lead advocacy and build good relationships with the community
    • Coordinate and ensure seamless referral services to appropriate quarters or service locations
    • Identify and report challenges and successes to the project management team
    • Provide mentorship, guide and training to health volunteers
    • Ensure compliance with project guidelines and standards
    • Supervise drugs stock management in mobile medical teams and facilities.
    • Act as focal point for liaison with community leaders and representatives in facilities

    • Monitor the drugs consumption by establishing/maintaining mechanisms of consumption record and inform the Team Lead in case of any unusual usage, or stock shortages

    Nurse / Midwife

    Job Summary

    • Nurse/Midwife provides technical support and mentoring to CHEWs and CHVs in the supported primary health facilities and Mobile health team respectively under the direct supervision of Clinical Supervisors.
    • The Nurse/Midwife supervises and ensure execution of the Nutrition/Health activities including, SAM/MAM cases, ANC, PNC, basic emergency obstetric and neonatal care, family planning, deliveries, active case search on Cholera etc. in accordance with the project design, planning, implementation, monitoring and report progress of support of the planned objectives to aligned with project goals and strategy.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assists the preparation and periodic update of the Situation Analysis by compiling Health & Nutrition data, analyzing and evaluating relevant information and providing the technical input in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Drafts chapters, prepares statistical data reports, and assists with preparation of sectoral input to the program documents as required. Contributes to the consultation and coordination with key partners at all levels.
    • Provides professional technical assistance to CHEWs in supported PHCs on the integration of the SRH & Nutrition services, clinical treatment, management and support deliveries that will contributes to building CHEWs skills on BEmONC, SAM/MAM cases, ANC, PNC, basic emergency obstetric and neonatal care, family planning, deliveries etc. Establish partnerships to promote innovative approaches to address immediate and underlying determinants of maternal, newborn and child health and nutrition.
    • Strictly adhere to clinical guidelines and standard operating procedures set by the Adamawa State Health Care Development Agency
    • Support the Clinical Supervisor during mobile medical outreaches in hard-to-reach communities away from the health facility
    • Support the Medical Clinical Supervisor in identifying necessary action for adjustments, improvement and sustainability of the project achievement
    • Support the Medical Mobile team on active case search on cholera
    • Reports outcome to Clinical Supervisors
    • Provides timely data on ANC, PNC, Deliveries, SAM/MAM case, number of beneficiaries who access commodities, sensitization, etc to M&E officer

    • Assists the monitoring team to ensure that data collection and analysis from field visits are standardized to feed into to M&E monitoring plan.

    • In case of emergency, assists in monitoring and assessing the nature and extent of the emergency in the assigned area.
