    Marketing Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the farm owner and management team to define marketing goals, target audiences, and positioning strategies.
    • Develop comprehensive marketing plans that align with the farm's overall business objectives and promote its products (e.g., fresh produce, dairy, meats) and agritourism offerings.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
    • Manage the farm's online presence, including the website and social media platforms, to ensure consistent branding and engaging content.
    • Create and curate compelling content, including articles, blog posts, photos, videos, and infographics, to showcase the farm's practices, products, and stories.
    • Implement and optimize digital advertising campaigns to reach target audiences effectively.
    • Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that resonates with the farm's values and mission.
    • Ensure consistent use of branding elements across all communication channels and materials.
    • Monitor and manage online reviews and customer feedback to maintain a positive brand image.
    • Build and maintain relationships with local media, influencers, and bloggers to secure coverage and promote the farm's initiatives and events.
    • Coordinate and host media visits and farm tours to showcase operations and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Plan, execute, and promote on-farm events, workshops, and seasonal festivals to attract visitors and generate revenue.
    • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional visitor experiences.
    • Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with local businesses, restaurants, and organizations to cross-promote products and services.
    • Negotiate and manage partnerships that align with the farm's values and enhance its market reach.
    • Track and analyse marketing performance metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, conversion rates, and event attendance.
    • Provide regular reports to the management team, highlighting key insights and recommending adjustments to strategies as needed.

    Requirements

    The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Agriculture, or a related field 
    • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in marketing, preferably in the agriculture or FMCG industry.
    • Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture practices and the farm-to-table movement.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
    • Creative thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop innovative marketing strategies.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
    • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools to measure marketing effectiveness.
    • Passion for sustainability, local food systems, and community engagement.

    Sales Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement sales strategies and plans in alignment with the farm's overall business objectives and revenue targets.
    • Identify potential market segments and customers for the farm's products, including fresh produce, dairy, meats, and value-added items.
    • Build and nurture relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Identify and engage with new leads and potential customers, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions to meet them.
    • Develop a deep understanding of the farm's products, production processes, and quality standards.
    • Effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
    • Participate in marketing and promotional activities to increase product visibility and sales.
    • Deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the farm's products and their benefits.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.
    • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to the sales manager.
    • Stay informed about market trends, competitive offerings, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
    • Provide feedback to the sales manager and management team about market changes and customer feedback.
    • Collaborate with colleagues across different departments, such as marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure a seamless  customer experience.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance sales processes and customer satisfaction.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the agriculture or FMCG industries.
    • Strong knowledge of agriculture and farm products, particularly the products offered by the farm.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
    • Proven negotiation and sales presentation skills.
    • Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed.
    • Passion for sustainable agriculture and promoting local food systems.
