    Legal Officer

    Job description

    •  Formulate and implement legal strategies and ensure compliance with all legal and corporate governance requirements.

    • Provide legal advice by briefing staff members on legal issues, potential liabilities and possible courses of actions all within compliance with the regulatory law.

    • Ensuring compliance with statutory and legal requirements including maintenance/update of all statutory books and registers and prompt filing of statutory returns as well as support the Secretary to the Governing Council for Council and Committee meetings.

    Requirement

    • Knowledge and understanding of principles of law and procedures in Nigeria and relevant legal requirements/statutory provisions
    • Excellent negotiation skills, protocol awareness and diplomatic skills
    • Ability to advise on all contractual arrangements and agreements between the institute and other entities to avoid or minimize loss and/or exposure to potential litigation.

    Director Research and Advocacy

    Job description

    • Oversee the research team in steering and conducting research on relevant topical issues bothering on corporate governance, ethics, leadership and the economy
    • Produce periodic reports, articles, and concept papers based on research and oversee their translation into advocacy programmes

    Requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or any other related field.
    • A post- graduate degree in any related field will be an added advantage.
    • Member of a relevant professional body e.g., CIPM, NIM
    • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a director role and 8 years in a managerial position

    Skill requirement

    • In-depth understanding of industry trends and ability to identify new opportunities for the institute
    • In-depth knowledge of techniques and tools in information gathering, data collection, analysis and visualization

    Executive Assistant

    Job description

    • Assist the Director General with daily administrative duties such as: managing an active calendar of appointments; drafting correspondence; conducting research; arranging detailed travel plans, scheduling meetings, preparing reports and documents for meetings etc
    • Communicates directly, and on behalf of the DG/CEO, with Governing Council members, staff and others, on matters related to the DG/CEO’s initiatives.
