    Legal Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Legal Officer to provide legal support to our organisation.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for handling legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, supporting litigation processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing legal advisory services to support the organisation's programmes and operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide legal advice on organisational operations and programmes.
    • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and briefs.
    • Draft and review contracts, MoUs, and other legal documents.
    • Support litigation processes and liaise with external counsel.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Represent the organisation in meetings and legal engagements.
    • Monitor legal developments and support advocacy through legal analysis.
    • Maintain legal records and contribute to legal publications.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from a recognised institution with 2-5 years' relevant post-call experience (NGO or litigation experience is an advantage).
    • Must be called to the Nigerian Bar (BL certificate required).
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws and regulatory frameworks.
    • Experience in drafting contracts and legal documents.
    • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Programmes Manager (Good Governance)

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a dedicated Programme Manager to lead the design, planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects within the Good Governance Department.
    • The role involves overseeing project delivery, ensuring donor compliance, managing stakeholder relationships, and advancing initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, and citizen's participation in line with the organisation's strategic goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop project proposals, concept notes, and grant applications.
    • Design and implement governance programmes that promote accountability, transparency, and civic engagement.
    • Manage and oversee Good Governance. projects to ensure timely and effective delivery.
    • Supervise programme staff, coordinate field activities, and engage key stakeholders.

    • Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, proper documentation, and sound budget management.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • 3-6 years relevant experience in governance, public policy, or civil society programming.
    • Experience managing donor-funded projects and writing proposals.
    • Strong research, analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.

    Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented MEAL Officer to strengthen the organisation's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems.
    • The role focuses on tracking programme performance, ensuring data quality, and supporting evidence-based decision-making to ensure projects deliver measurable impact and meet donor standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
    • Design data collection tools, indicators, and reporting templates.
    • Track project performance and conduct baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
    • Analyse programme data and prepare performance reports.
    • Ensure data quality, documentation, and timely donor reporting.
    • Facilitate learning sessions and manage feedback and accountability systems.
    • Support staff capacity building on MEAL tools and processes.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
    • Must have 3-5 years' experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within an NGO or development organisation. Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies and tools.
    • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
    • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
    • Close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Communication Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a creative and proactive Communications Officer to manage the organisation's internal and external communications.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing communication strategies, managing media relations, producing content, and promoting the organisation's programs, advocacy initiatives, and public engagements.

    • Must have 3-5 years' relevant experience in communications, media, or public relations.
    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
    • Experience managing social media platforms and digital communication tools.
    • Excellent interpersonal and media engagement skills.
    • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
