    Field Support Engineer (FSE)

    Location: Northern Region, Nigeria
    Employment Type: Permanent

    Job Description

    • In view of our recent site acquisition across Northern part of Nigeria, we are looking to hire skilled and experienced Field Support Engineers to (FSE) effectively maintain our sites.

    Responsibilities

    • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance when due.
    • 24hours response time, on call (in line with MTTR policy).
    • AC unit maintenance, repairs and servicing.
    • Troubleshoot and maintain OPEX saving device problems. ATS/AMF repairs.
    • Rectifier maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.
    • DG parts replacement and reporting on faulty components.
    • Monitor and manage diesel supply and consumption on assigned sites.
    • Provide daily update on site availability.
    • JCC sign off for both routine and non-routine jobs.
    • Site Janitorial services
    • Site Access Reference documentation
    • Security checks.
    • DCDG Maintenance
    • And other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    • HND / B.Sc / B.Tech. degree in Electrical/Electronics  or Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years hands – on experience as a field engineer in the Telecom industry.
    • ATS and Hybrid power knowledge is required.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
    • Evidence of previous working experience in any of our locations is an added advantage

    Job Summary

    • Technical Coordinators as assigned, will oversee and supervise projects from beginning to end within the technical department in line with IPI Powertech Nigeria’s business goals.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
    • Implement project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties.
    • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans.
    • Deliver project with the required conditions.
    • Conduct project evaluation review to assess project success.
    • Adopt recommendations where necessary.
    • Ensure excellent customer focus.
    • Build Customer Relationship and maintain it.
    • Develop and deliver progress reports, required documentation, and presentations to client.
    • Develop customer relationship and associated communications documents.
    • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
    • Deliver projects within set time and cost budget.
    • Coach and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

    Requirements

    • First degree in relevant Engineering field.
    • Professional qualification in Project Management is a must.
    • Five (5) years experience handling different projects within the telecoms industry with at least 4 years in managerial level.
    • Excellent presentation skills.
    • Strong relationship management skills with Subordinates, Seniors and Clients.
    • Must be technically sound.
    • Excellent data analysis (MS Excel expert) and problem-solving skills.
    • Auto CAD is a necessity.

    Regional Technical Officer

    Location: South South Region, Nigeria
    Employment Type: Permanent

    Job Description

    • The Regional Technical Officer will supervise the day to day activities of the regional operations team, providing guidance and tactical leadership ensuring the integrity of the network.

    Responsibilities
    Preventive Maintenance:

    • Complete Monthly PPM planning
    • Ensure the availability of PPM spares in the regional warehouse
    • Ensure PPM is executed in line with plan and PPM checklist
    • Audits of all sites to ensure 100% compliance
    • Provide PPM execution and Compliance Reports

    Corrective Maintenance:

    • Responsible and accountable for tracking all escalated site incidence/fault from the NOC
    • Responsible for closing all trouble tickets in the NOC
    • Responsible for closure of site incidence/faulty with the agreed MTTR in the Service level agreement with the vendor
    • Responsible for spares requisition, replacement and return to the warehouse
    • Provide daily incidence/Fault reports

    DCDG Hybrid Solution:

    • Provide Project support for all Solution rollout activities
    • Responsible for restoring sites back to Auto functionality
    • Responsible for the full functionality of the DCDG Hybrid Solution:
      • Responsible for reporting solution status daily
      • Responsible for raising intervention reports and Material request for site rectification

    MTM (Discovergy):

    • Provide Project support for all Solution rollout activities
    • Responsible for restoring sites back to full functionality
    • Responsible for the full functionality of the MTM (DISCOVERGY) Solution:
      • Responsible for reporting MTM solution status daily
      • Responsible for raising intervention reports and Material request for site rectification

    Remote Monitoring System:

    • Provide Project support for all RMS Solution rollout activities
    • Responsible for restoring sites back to full functionality
    • Responsible for the full functionality of the RMS Solution:
      • Responsible for reporting RMS solution status daily
      • Responsible for raising intervention reports and Material request for site rectification

    Site Diesel Management:

    • Responsible for daily site diesel level reports
    • Responsible for estimating and calculating monthly diesel requirement for the RTO region
    • Responsible for site fuel delivery planning to ensure that no site failures associated with diesel outage
    • Responsible and accountable for site fueling
    • Responsible to trigger diesel intervention for the region based on-site levels and DCDG Hybrid solution status
    • Responsible for site diesel overconsumption

    Site Hygiene and Safety:

    • Complete Monthly Janitorial planning
    • Ensure Janitorial is executed in line with plan and Janitorial checklist
    • Audits of all sites to ensure 100% compliance
    • Provide Janitorial execution and Compliance Reports
    • General site compliance to the as built condition
    • Ensure all site infrastructure are following the requirements of the contract:
      • Site Perimeter Fence
      • Site Aviation and Tower lights

    Requirements

    • First degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Professional qualification in Project Management.
    • A minimum of 6 (Six) years’ experience in Telecom, with a strong background in the telecoms industry preferably in Field Operations or Support capacity.
