    Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)

    Reports to: Clinical Lead

    Job Purpose

    • To work as part of a team of medical professionals to provide psychiatric nursing care to patients of all ages, gender, religion and disposition, while creating a safe and therapeutic environment to aid their mental stability.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities
    The Psychiatric Nurse provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to basic nursing care, responsibilities of Psychiatric Nurses include (but are not limited to):

    • Assessing and planning individualized nursing care requirements for all patients.
    • Developing nursing care plan based on individual patient's needs.
    • Ensuring that identified care plan is implemented and evaluated for all patients especially those within their identified groups.
    • Ensuring that care given is individualized, patient-centered, evidence-based, and in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team, as well as other statutory and voluntary organizations when necessary.
    • The Nurse would spend extensive parts of the shift directly or in directly monitoring and evaluating patient care.
    • Ensuring that the number of patients at the point of hand-over and take-over are accurate.
    • Attending multidisciplinary team meetings, the planning and supervision of case conferences regarding the assessment, care, planning, implementing and evaluating treatment of patients on the practice, giving advice on discharge suitable for patients.
    • Administer prescribed medication to patients, monitor use, document and report appropriately any reaction.
    • Educate patients on the purpose, dosage, and side effects of medication, and explain the implications of refusal to take prescribed medication.
    • Daily documentation of the shift's activity as regards to patients in clinical reports, and updating care plans.
    • Coordinating and supervising of support staff on duty.
    • Engaging in pickup of new or old clients when required.
    • Observe assigned patients on a daily basis to identify, interpret, and document physical and emotional status and/or patterns, such as assaultive or suicidal behaviour, and response to treatment or medication.
    • The Nurse is required to deal with crisis intervention and treatment, particularly for those patients who require special observation or for those that are on suicide watch.
    • Encouraging patients to take part in therapeutic activities such as art therapy.
    • Working with the support staff to see to the personal hygiene of patients in the morning.
    • Participating in or lead individual or group counselling sessions, family conferences, and recreational and social therapy sessions to assist patients in understanding the nature of emotional and physical problems, and to accept the need for treatment.
    • Participate in departmental and team meetings to discuss patient care and progress, shift activity, and program policies and procedures.
    • Ensuring activity schedule is properly implemented
    • Ensuring that projected meal time is properly implemented.
    • Make Clinical presentations during clinical meetings and ward rounds.
    • Demonstrating leadership by training colleagues and subordinates in a bid to improve clinical practices.
    • Reporting any breech in hospital policy by patients and co-workers to the Head Nurse or Clinical lead.
    • Attending to any additional responsibilities as prescribed by company’s policy or/and the Clinical Lead.

    Person Specification

    • Must be a Registered Psychiatric Nurse
    • Must be medically and physically fit.
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ work experience as a Psychiatric Nurse

    Business Development Officer

    Job Description

    • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients and ultimately convert them into clients;
    • Dedicate a significant portion of work schedule going to various hospitals, ministries and institutions, dropping leaflets/proposals, and meeting with relevant personnel;
    • Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with psychiatrist, psychologist and other allied mental healthcare professional, both inside and outside the hospital and among sector actors;

    Expectations

    • Ensure monthly objectives listed in the marketing plan are accomplished; progress levels against objectives are measured and adjustments made;
    • Take a lead role in proposal writing, regularly prepare, review and submit commercial bids and proposals;
    • Market OlivePrime’s Services – Trainings (Stress Management, Counselling), Workshops, Rehabilitation, and Sale of Psychological service-related products (Urine Drug Testing, Stress Management Trainings, Workshops etcetera) to Universities, tertiary institutions, hospitals, ministries, government and private institutions;
    • Prepare and make bi monthly presentations to prospective clients and network to increase OlivePrime’ visibility.

    Client Retention:

    • Assist in managing existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive;
    • Provide support that will continually improve the existing relationship;
    • Make recommendations to Management on services that meet, predict and mirrors current clients’ future needs;
    • Ensure the continuous refinement of the service rendered by the Facility;
    • Work extensively with the hospital’s leadership team, medical staff and across various clinical departments to ensure growth opportunities are identified, patient engagement is maximized, and obstacles to success are addressed and resolved.

    Job Requirements

    • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant course.
    • Must be a resident of Awka.
    • Must have 2 - 3 years proven work experience as a Business Development officer.
    • Must be a goal getter.
    • Effectively work with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    Psychologist

    Job Roles and Responsibilities
    The roles and responsibilities of this include but not limited to:

    • Provide psychological assessment and consultation services.
    • Diagnose psychological, emotional or behavioral disorders of patients and develop treatment plan.
    • Provide therapy to groups and individuals.
    • Develop and implement individual treatment plan for different age groups (children inclusive).
    • Work with multidisciplinary team alongside doctors, nurses and social workers, psychiatrists and occupational therapists.
    • Facilitate diverse group therapeutic sessions.
    • Counsel individuals and groups regarding problems such as stress, substance abuse, and family situations, in order to modify behavior.
    • Modify treatment activities or approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients’ status.
    • Guide clients in the development of their skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
    • Have an understanding of Bio Psychosocial Approach for assessment and treatment plan for every patient.

    Internal Auditor

    Job Description

    • Plans financial, regulatory, compliance or operational reviews/audits.
    • Coordinates work with Risk, Legal & Compliance and other control-related activities and with others within Internal Audit.
    • Conducts financial risk assessments and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks.
    • Ensure daily compliance on the internal and financial policies of the facility
    • Do a daily call over on all expenses across all organizations and ensure that all postings are correctly done

    • Excellent understanding of the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ability to fully comply with IIA standards
    • Ability to manage projects and, when required, work with the accountant to follow sound internal control practices and to manage risks appropriately.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc in Business or Accounting.
    • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, analysis and reporting of financial data.
    • Direct experience in Audit and Compliance required. Good knowledge in auditing and accounting practices.
    • ACCA / ICAN / ACA / CIA / CISA.
    • Minimum of 5 years proven work experience.
    • Relevant certifications associated with the job position.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to negotiate at all levels.
