JOB DESCRIPTION FOR STEEL FABRICATION PAINTER/BLASTER

• Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler
• Select premixed paints or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint to match specified colors.
•  Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers, and apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects.
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladder to perform tasks above ground level.
• Prepare all painted signs required by the clients as directed by the supervisor/factory manager.
• Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records of materials
•  Maintain inventory of tools and assist with inventory control of materials and equipment.
•  Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition
•  Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
• Store, handle and dispose of paint, stain, varnish, and other chemicals according to established procedures.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.

SKILLS

• Minimum of 3 years of similar experience of progressive responsibility in painting and/or coatings
• Experience and ability with conventional spray systems, airless spray systems, and plural spray systems
• Experience and ability Iin applying paint with brush and roll.
• Proficient in the application and use of plural spray systems is preferred.
• Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings.
• Ability to operate a man lift, work at heights, and swing stage training.

QUALIFICATIONS

•  Possession of valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• OND or HND Mechanical /Technical Training.

Proximity to Oshodi- Illupeju Axis will be highly preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR QA/QC OFFICER (IFO FACTORY)

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
•  Work with the Factory manager to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality. 
• Educate workers on the required standards.
• Note and report on work that does not meet requirements.
•  Interpret and review shop drawings.
•  Inspect completed work and/or work in progress to determine whether the work meets specifications and plan requirements.
•  Monitor overall construction performance with regard to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements.
• Approve in-process construction/fabrication by confirming required specifications.
• Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests.
