    Junior Market Analyst Intern

    Primary Duties And Responsibilities

    Junior market analysts are integral members of project teams and typical responsibilities include:

    • Implementing market research to obtain data and other useful information on mobile money service market from a variety of sources (e.g. interviews, cold-calls)
    • Have a basic understanding of the data and information to yield meaningful insights (e.g. market sizing, growth, competitiveness).
    • Strong quantitative analysis capabilities
    • Industry experience/market analysis experience preferred
    • Author research reports and presentations, prepare market forecasts, and draft articles within one or more areas of personal expertise.
    • Assisting the research leadership in the overall research process
    • Preparing presentation materials for use with clients and staff.
    • Communicating methodologies, findings, and recommendations to clients and staff.

    Qualification and Requirements

    • Expected to graduate in 2021 from University fo Lagos
    • Have a basic understanding about finance, consulting, or marketing analytics strategy.
    • Have the basic analytical skills and research methodology.
    • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
    • Live within the Lagos region, be mobile, own a laptop, have good internet connectivity
    • Enthusiasm and initiative to work independently and as part of the team
    • Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.
    • Ability to work independently and drive work streams with minimal supervision.

    Payment Channel Manager

    Job Description

    • Expand payment channels including but not only focusing on banking, switching company, PTSP, PSSP, etc. 
    • Work closely with internal products, operation, settlement and compliance teams to fully understand payment channel requirements.
    • Develop and adjust business development plans of connecting payment channels based on different sets of strategic priorities.
    • Ensure payment channels has stable connection with our system and provide quick response to any channel related issues.   
    • Work closely with operation teams to suggest and recommend new initiatives that could improve customers experience with the usage of our mobile application and payment system.
    • Prepare competitor’s product comparative analysis, identifying areas for improvement of our company’s product and channel capabilities.

    Job Requirement

    • Hnd/Bsc in social sciences or related field of study.
    • Not less than three (3) years proven experience in BD manager position at payment companies, banks, and/or partnership manager ideally focused on the payment segment working with key stakeholder. This is a prerequisite.
    • Comprehensive understanding of e-wallet and payment business, great understanding of agency banking and merchant scenarios.
    • Extremely flexible, result oriented, hardworking with a strong track record of success.
    • Good at drafting business/product/service proposal, delivering presentation, negotiating commercials and driving the conversation on the right track.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet and exceed channel target.
    • Able to analyze data and channel statistics and translate results into numbers and solutions.

    BDM - Payment Partnerships

    JD for BDM of Payment Partnerships, Payment/Billers Orientation

    1. Consistently seek for potential opportunities of any partnerships for scaling/expanding Palmpay’s  payment Ecosystem in 2 verticals:

    Payment Orientation for the financial network (NIBSS/Aggregators/Banks/Gateway etc.)

    Billers Orientation for both online/offline business scenarios

    • Deal the Win-Win business mode with each partner, all rates and costs of any partnership should be competitive in the industry.
    • Build up the timely and effective communication channels (IM group chat) with related shareholders for each partnership/project, make sure all feedbacks of request/demand could be solved in the first time.
    • Cooperate with internal resources/dept., create and follow up the seamless SOP work flow, make sure the onboarding process of new partners is been done with high efficiency;
    • Monitor onboarded partner’s transaction status, coordinate externally and internally to resolve any issue occurred with quick response.
    • Develop new and innovative ways to attract the potential partners.
    • Periodic visits to partners to maintain the good cooperation relationship.
