1) Finance Officer (NUN-BUSR-002)
The Role
The Finance Department seeks to appoint a competent individual with exceptional customer service, good problem-solving skills and that can engage and communicate with a variety of stakeholders. Specifically, the Finance Officer will (serve as a):
- Customer service representative on E-Channels addressing inquiries of student payments, balances, fee reconciliations and general complaints.
- Ensure to log complaints received via E- Channels for proper tracking.
- Engage relevant (finance) colleagues to investigate complaints lodged and see to timely resolution including providing appropriate feedback to customers.
- Provide support with credit control and in-person student inquiries.
- Provide support with student payment validation and reconciliations.
- Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by line-manager.
Qualifications, experience, and attributes
- A minimum qualification of a B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any management related field.
- NYSC Completed and less than two (2) years’ experience in a similar role.
- Must possess good customer relationship skills.
- Must possess good Communication, Time Management, and Interpersonal Skills.
- Strong attention to detail

1) Finance Associate (NUN-BUSR-001)
The Role
The Finance Department seeks to appoint a competent individual that can analyze data, prepare financial reports, maintain proper records of bookkeeping for daily activities/transactions and perform basic financial accounting. Specifically, the Finance Associate will (serve as a):
- Front line customer service representative, addressing inquiries of student payments, balances, fee reconciliations and general complaints.
- Provide assurance by ensuring all revenues accruing to the University are properly charged against students.
- Analyze students’ payments as well as ensuring all students’ payments are properly validated before acknowledged and accounted for.
- Ensure adequate records of bookkeeping over revenue, account receivables and deferred revenue are maintained for financial control purposes.
- Reconciliation of accounts to ensure proper bookkeeping.
- Manage credit control and leakages.
- Provide support with external audit reviews.
- Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by line-manager.
Qualifications, experience, and attributes
- A minimum qualification of a B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any management related field.
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
- Affiliation with ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must possess good Communication, Time Management, and Interpersonal Skills.
- Competence in Data Interpretation, Analysis and Presentation.
- Must possess good customer relationship skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
