    CMA (Condition Monitoring Analyst)

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    A Technology center Role based in Lagos. To drive the Nigeria technology project in Lagos and across all Nigeria.

    Job is to analyzes condition monitoring data (S·O·S, inspections, electronic data, site conditions, equipment history) and provides relevant recommendations for the customer as indicated by the data

    To provide continual development of the Nigeria technology project. Ensure continual process of improvement takes place and that procedures are adhered to. Co-ordination and administration of Key Performance Indicators. Provide full support to the Service Operations Manager on further Critical projects. Implementation of RPI-Repair Process Integration. Co-ordinate and administer development training in conjunction with the Service Operations Manager to ensure correct coverage.

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Analyze condition monitoring data (e.g. S·O·S, inspections, electronic data, site conditions, equipment 
    • Provide equipment and/or operation recommendations to customer-facing Dealer representatives derived from condition monitoring data. 
    • Provide emergency recommendations to the customer. 
    • Build collaborative relationships with other condition monitoring personnel (e.g., S·O·S Interpreter) and customer-facing Dealer representatives (e.g., PSSR, MSR, EMC, ISR) 
    • Use software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access) to analyze condition monitoring data.
    • Use the Dealer’s business system to extract customer and equipment history. 
    • Provide information for condition monitoring lead tracking and resolution. 
    • Prepare written reports and recommendations as required by Mantrac.
    • Communicate verbal recommendations as required by Mantrac.
    • Mange 2G/3G conversion project achieving set target.
    • Manage and Maintain ARO Connectivity reaching set target.
    • Maintain Product link connectivity and vision link display of data (get it connected, keep it connected)\
    • Mange the further development of remote troubleshooting and remote flash to meet set targets.
    •  Mange the technology process rollout and adaptation in term of changing the way mantrac Nigeria deals with customer service calls to rout via help desk(hotline), online support (remote services, remote guided trapshooting before scheduling the field service
    • Mange the technology project rollout, acceptance, and use of the new process where engineer use the digital and technology system available before traveling to the machine to improve the first-time fix and minimize the trip per work order, improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Be an advocate of change management in leading the adaptation of the new process across Nigeria.
    • Involve with the development of the customer digital onboarding process (customer use of Vision link app, cat interact and condition monitoring report)     

    RELEVANT INFORMATION

    • Education: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years relevant experience. 
    • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in service - Field service would be beneficial.
    • Should have high degree of inter-personal, good written and spoken English and must be computer literate.

    Service Engineer Trainee

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    To learn the Caterpillar service business and understand its practices; participate in a structured training program incorporating classroom based technical training and “on the job training” based in the workshop.

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    Participate in a structured training program in the classroom and workshop. Performance will be up to standard when:

    • Successful completion of 8 specified parts pro modules within 12 months of appointment.
    • Successful completion of a self development program within 12 months of appointment.
    • Successful completion of non-technical program
    • Successful completion of Service department internal secondment in the following workshop areas as applicable
    • General bay
    • Engine bay
    • Fuel pump bay
    • Hydraulic bay
    • Transmission bay
    • Electrical bay
    • Lift truck bay

    • Completion of a daily training diary which is to be signed by the mentor, then submitted to the training department monthly.

    • Liaise with the trainee mentor: performance is up to standard when you maintain daily contact with the mentor.

    Upon completion of structured training program the trainee will be able to accomplish the following:

    • Disassemble and assemble any given Caterpillar product or component to Caterpillar standards without supervision.
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify complex faults with minimal supervision.
    • Use Caterpillar literature libraries, such as SIS, SIRS, NPR, parts books, service manual etc.
    • Read and interprete Caterpillar Hydraulic and Electrical schematics.
    • Write technical service reports to Caterpillar standards.
    • Assist in the development of subordinates.

    RELEVANT INFORMATION.

    • Mechanical, Electrical and Agricultural Engineering Degree at Second class lower with O/A level passes in mathematics, physics and English. 
    • Some hands on experience working in a mechanical/electrical environment will be an advantage.

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsible for achieving or exceeding agreed sales targets for the Company’s range of Machines/Lift Truck products within Nigeria Territory.

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    Aftermarket Solutions Consultants – Repair & Rebuild

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build, Drive & Maintain positive Sales Funnel and Continuously Manage Pipeline & Opportunities
    • To attend meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution 
    • Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes

    Business Case

    Training

    • Complete Repair & Rebuild ASC Certification Program;
    • Coach and train PSSRs, Administrators, Service Personnel, Prime Product Sales Reps and Counter Sales Reps and any other person as required;

    Performance Management

    • Design and implement individual growth plans in local BU for Repair & Rebuild Components
    • Maintain healthy sales funnel and Manage pipeline opportunities
    • Track performance of Local Sales Teams and continually evaluate targets and sales funnel;

    RELEVANT INFORMATION

    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial and/or marketing management related roles.
    • Knowledge: Great understanding of Product Support commodities; Proficiency at managing marketing campaigns;
    • Skills: Excellent communicator; Proficient on data manipulation tools such as MS Excel and Access;
    • Qualifications: Engineering / technical qualifications or similar experience

    Mechanical Engineer

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY

    Responsible to Carryout SPE Designs and Supervision.

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Develop drawing of SPE, Site Layout, P&ID.
    • Soundproofing of CAT Generators (Customized and Containerized) Fabrication processes
    • Ensure that technicians’ complete deliverable as scheduled
    • Prepare requisitions for mechanical material procurement.
    • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Prepare material production and journals through Axapta

    Parts Admin

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for ensuring that all Parts Orders from overseas suppliers (and Back Order), whether for Service, Counter or Inventory and all Parts receipts (Overseas Shipments & Inter Company Sales) are processed timely and accurately.
    • Ensure adequate communication on all order fulfillments related issues to all stakeholders on the BU and CoE.
    • Responsible to, implement processes, to identify and implement action plan to improve continuously the operations. Make Reports on order fulfillment & administration related activities.

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Point of contact for Multibrand customer’s requests; maintain proactive & effective communication to the customers (Internal or external).
    • Handle Multibrand Stock Orders & Customer Orders.
    • Review protective stock/recommended parts lists for various suppliers and take stocking decisions for all branches in coordination with related Multibrand and department Managers. (MS-PS-PSS-Service)
    • Handle Requests for Inter Company Sales (ICS), from & to Coy 01 for other BU & Companies
    • Ensure the prompt administration of emergency parts orders. Ensure running the daily Purchase Order from Back Order according to the preset schedule and cut offs.
    • Closely review & vet the generated Purchase Orders based on ordering policy, prevailing circumstances and in consultation with the Team Leader/Manager.
    • Upon a decision review of the Purchase Orders, take to reconfirm, revalidate or transmit the orders to the relevant suppliers indicating the recommended method of shipment and right order type.
    • Receive, Review, Reply Order Acknowledgements from Unatrac & Other suppliers for order status information, and for further interpretation and/or customer feedback. File Order acknowledgement Reports accordingly.
    • Conduct analysis to determine cause for emergency purchases and identify corrective actions to reduce controllable back orders.
    • To keep constant track of all stock and emergency orders placed by customers and with a view to ensuring that targeted Lead Times, OTIL, OTIF, etc are adhered to. e.g. Order Tracking & Performance Monitoring Report.
    • Responsible for all B/O Reports (counter, service & inventory), circulate backorder status report to all concerned parties every week.
    • Run Back Orders that have no P.O. and if records are found, investigate reason and take the proper action to clear such error or send to Help Desk.
    • Dealing with all Inventory & SMF inquiries, like parts price update & verification, availability update.
    • Ensure usage of weekly reports, and that the weekly analysis is taking place to identify areas for improvement. Review these Reports weekly with Team Lead/Manager.
    • Submit end of month report and make recommendations to PI&OF Manager.
    • Carryout any other job assigned by the Parts Inventory & Order Fulfillment Manager.
