    Software Engineer

    Our client, a Commercial, Bank is seeking to hire a Software Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate should have full stack web development; Gather user requirements, write code using an agile methodology, and continuously update the back-end code of the product; Report directly to lead software engineer; Assist with all functions of software coding and design; Learn codebase, gather user data, and respond to requests from senior software engineers; Ability to learn new technologies quickly, and capable of working in a team environment; A good working knowledge of major programming languages.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assisting lead engineer with all aspects of software design and coding.
    • Attending and contributing to software delivery meetings.
    • Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
    • Writing and maintaining code.
    • Working on minor bug fixes.
    • Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
    • Gathering information from consumers about program functionality.
    • Writing reports.
    • Conducting development tests.

    ·         Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Software Engineer.

     

    Keys Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
    • 2 - 6 years’ experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, Javascript, Java, C++, C#), databases, data structures and algorithms
    • 3 - 5 years of professional programming experience using Microsoft stack
    • Relevant professional certification
    • Knowledge of databases and operating systems
    • Excellent basic knowledge about Information Technology from both a software and hardware perspective
    • Knowledge of coding languages including C#, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Familiarity with database technology such as MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB.
    • Basic programming experience.
    • Ability to implement software security measures (OWASP Top 10)
    • Good working knowledge of version control system using gitflow.
    • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
    • Ability to manage codebase on a version control.
    • Software testing and debugging

    ·         Knowledge of Agile/Scrum project delivery formats

    Data Analyst

    Our client requires the service of a highly skilled Data analyst. The successful candidate will process, inspect, cleanse, transform, and model data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions, and supporting decision-making. This individual plays a role in making decisions more scientific and helping businesses operate more effectively.

    Responsibilities:

    • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
    • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that

    ·         optimize statistical efficiency and quality

    • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

    Keys Qualifications and Skills:

    ·         2-6 years working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst, preferably in the financial services industry

    • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques 
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
    • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

    Data Scientist

    Our client requires the skills of a data science specialist with hands-on experience in planning, developing and management of predictive and prescriptive analytics projects/solutions. Provides balanced analytical research by turning raw data into valuable insights that help to drive the Bank’s actions and strategies. Also interprets and analyses data from multiple sources to come up with imaginative solutions to problems. Conduct analyses, formulate insights, and summarize and synthesize findings for presentation to line of business management. Develop timely, innovative, and objective analysis which leads to fact-based solutions for strategic business issues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop programming in R, SAS, SQL or similar analytical development tools
    • Maintain knowledge in statistics, mathematics and/or comparable quantitative area of expertise
    • Responsible for collaborating with analysts to facilitate the development and application of advanced analytic strategies and tactics
    • Ascertain and apply strategies to identified business problems and existing organizational processes to provide leaders with insightful resources for decision-making and to increase sales, profit, market share, and achieve enterprise goals
    • Establish parameters of ad hoc analyses by setting appropriate timeline and work quality guidelines
    • Assist in the development of the problem definition and hypothesis formulation process as it relates to the specific business environment
    • Maintain an understanding of general business trends and requirements for the major area of support, and understand the link between analysis and business impact
    • Utilize R, SAS, SQL, Tableau or other analytical development tools with large data sets to design
    • analyses and measure key metrics
    • Support line of business analytical needs with dashboard/report development through Tableau
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Data Science

    Keys Qualifications and Skills:

    • Strong STEM background - Bachelor's degree as well as practical experiences in Machine Learning, NLP, Deep Learning (Tensor flow), Statistical Modelling, Quantitative Analysis, Forecasting, Data Visualization
    • 2-6 years working experience as a data scientist or business data analyst, preferably in the financial services industry
