    Equity Trader

     Job Summary
    The successful candidate will be responsible for executing trades of existing stock broking accounts, relationship management and sales to institutional and private clients.
    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    The activities of the equity trader/broker will be:

    • Execute Trades
    • Monitor Clients portfolios
    • Assist with relationship and filings at the Stock Exchange
    • Recruit new clients, initiate sales and manage existing relationships
    • Liaise with institutional clients on Bloomberg
    • Prepare and send sales pitches to local and international clients
    • Execute trades in-house and on the floor of stock exchange

    Job Summary

    Head, Internal Control

    Job Summary

    The Officer will be responsible for reviewing, testing and reporting on the state of the Group’s processes and control activities, as well as level of compliance with internal policies and business practices. The Officer would also recommend improvements to the Group’s control environment.
    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Plan and supervise the execution of the unit’s monitoring activities including the preparation and execution of a control review plan, scheduling and assigning work and estimating resource needs.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on results of reviews conducted by Internal Control.
    • Officers (ICOs) and provide same to Business Managers and other stakeholders, including Risk Management and Internal Audit.
    • Report to Senior Management, and the Board Audit Committee as required, on the status of internal control and risk management compliance across the Group, highlighting key weaknesses in the Company’s Internal Control Environment and proffer recommendations for improvement.
    • Support implementation of business applications, initiatives and new processes in a manner that ensures quality of data transferred and adequacy of overall control environment upon adoption.
    • Review of the adequacy of current controls in each area vis-à-vis leading practices and work collaboratively with Business/Unit Heads to implement identified gaps.
    • Along with the Internal Audit Unit, participate in Risk & Control Self-Assessment Workshops and provide objective assessment of key controls.
    • Continuous review and development of Internal Control policies, ensuring continued relevance to the Company’s operating environment.
    • Escalate instances of persistent control issues to Senior Management
    • Where control deficiencies exist, develop risk mitigation and remediation plans and communicate the remediation plan with the responsible process owners.
    • Liaise with process owners and business managers to ensure the timely implementation of remedial actions to address identified exceptions

    Senior Accountant

    Job Summary

    • Ensure that the management of the Group’s Financial Reporting functions (Group account consolidation, Accounting for Mutual Funds and management of Corporation Taxes) are consistent with the Group’s overall business strategies.

    • Oversee the Group Financial Reporting Unit
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of ARM HOLDCO, ARM TAM, ARM Capital Partners and ARM- Harith Infrastructure monthly financial statement (Journal entries, Management accounts, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Financial Position) with detailed analysis for internal and external stakeholders
    • Monthly consolidation of ARM TAM, ARM HOLDCO & Subsidiaries accounts with detailed analysis.
    • Ensure that payments are made to and/or on behalf of clients, suppliers and other third parties on a timely basis and in accordance with the applicable Service Level Agreement.
    • Ensure that all transactions for the above entities and on behalf of clients are properly processed and captured in the appropriate accounting codes.
    • Review all general ledger accounts detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.  Review all reconciliations of general ledger accounts to applicable sub ledgers, and all inter-company accounts reconciliations.
    • Review monthly bank account reconciliations for the applicable accounts and ensure that all reconciling items are promptly cleared
    • Ensure the correct treatment of withholding tax and VAT in the accounts and also ensure the prompt remittance to the appropriate authorities to avoid any penalties.
    • Maintain close working relationships with all internal customers and key external partners as appropriate including clients, lenders, contractors & suppliers, auditors, business partners etc.

    Other Requirements

    • Monthly, quarterly & bi annual SEC, Trustees and other regulatory returns
    • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards, other applicable accounting standards and company procedures. Continuously review the company’s financial control policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement
    • Prepare documentation and account analyses required in connection with the requirements of our external auditors and other external reviewers.
    • Support the implementation of the Oracle ERP system and any other Management Information System necessary to effectively drive the company’s business
    • Prepare special analyses as required.
    •  Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO and senior management.
