    State Results Measurement Officer

    Job Summary

    • Measurement, evaluation and learning officer for each state to ensure program compliance.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the design of a results-based M&E system for the project.
    • Implement the results monitoring system to track project progress and achievements in the assigned state.
    • Collect, analyse, and manage project data, ensuring its accuracy and reliability. Prepare reports and presentations on project results.
    • Coordinate and support project evaluations and assessments, including baseline studies, mid-term reviews, and impact evaluations.
    • Facilitate the documentation and sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and knowledge generated from the project.
    • Ensure adherence to monitoring and evaluation standards and guidelines. Conduct regular quality checks on data collection and reporting processes.
    • Provide training and technical support to project staff and stakeholders on monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools.
    • Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports on project results and outcomes, as required by the project management and donor agencies.
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and communities, to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation processes.
    • Establish and maintain a robust data management system, ensuring data security, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations.
    • Identify areas for improvement in the project's results management processes and recommend strategies for enhanced performance.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, Project Management.
    • At least three years of progressive experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning in development projects. Experience in agriculture and rural development projects is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
    • Proficiency in data collection, data quality checks, and an ability to analyse and draw insights from data of various types (quantitative and qualitative) using various software.
    • Experience in project management, including the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects is essential. A recognised certificate in project management is preferred.
    • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and visualize complex data.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.

    State Finance Officer

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • The role is responsible for the day to day spends documentation, record keeping on all financial transactions - which the auditor will ensure, and donor financial reports will be drawn from for each state.

    Responsibilities

    • Appropriately document and record all financial transactions on a daily basis.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and files.
    • Prepare financial reports for internal use and donor reporting purposes.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Conducting regular financial reconciliation and reviews.
    • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets for the state project.
    • Assist in financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
    • Liaise with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
    • Train and support the state team all financial regulations they need to comply with.
    • Collaborate with the central finance team to ensure alignment with overall project financial management.

    Qualifications

    • A Degree Accounting, Finance, or any other relevant field.
    • At least three years of experience in financial management, budgeting, financial analysis, and financial reporting, preferably in a project or program management context.
    • Sound knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices is mandatory.
    • Ability to work with non-financial managers and provide them with support.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills to effectively interact with local project stakeholders and team members.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
    • High ethical standards, integrity, and adherence to financial best practice.
    • Experience working in agricultural development/mechanization or rural development would be an added advantage.

    State Admin / Operations Manager

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provides operational and technical expertise to drive all the support components for the Project delivery and implementation for each state.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide operational and technical expertise to support the overall project delivery and implementation in the state.
    • Develop and implement operational plans and procedures in line with the overall operational plan, as well as project objectives.
    • Coordinate the administrative and operational activities of the project team in the state.
    • Work with the project team to Identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure organizational resources are used efficiently.
    • Manage project resources, including logistics, procurement, and inventory, to ensure efficient and effective project operations.
    • Monitor and manage, in collaboration with the finance team, the project’s budget, including tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.
    • Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and local communities, to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.
    • Prepare periodic reports, in collaboration with state managers, on project activities, progress and challenges.
    • Implement quality assurance measures and ensure compliance with project requirements, regulations, and standard at the state level.
    • Negotiate, draw-up, and implement contracts with vendors and project personnel.
    • Manage relationships with other projects/businesses, suppliers, and manufacturers.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management Science, or a relevant field.
    • At least three years of experience in operations, procurement, logistics, and administration, or a similar role, preferably in the agricultural or development space.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles. Ability to monitor project expenses, analyse financial data, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-changing environment.
    • Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

    States Project Driver

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • The Project Drivers will support the Project staff in the safe transport of team members and deliveries.
    • They will drive vehicles as directed, including transporting project staff to the field, performing pickups and delivery tasks.
    • They are also responsible for routine vehicle maintenance, including inspecting the vehicles; noting damage, scratches, malfunctions, or problems and reporting any faults to senior driver; and ensuring vehicles are clean, well maintained, and road worthy at all times.

    Responsibilities

    • Safely transport project personnel and equipment to various project sites.
    • Perform pickups and delivery tasks.
    • Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks to ensure the optimum performance of vehicles at all times and arranging for vehicle repairs.
    • Assist with loading and unloading of equipment and materials.
    • Utilize navigational apps and location knowledge to find optimal route.
    • Build formal and informal networks at project sites and locations to help obtain up-to-date security and travel information.
    • Track all trips and log daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changers, servicing, etc.
    • Ensure the vehicle(s) are clean, road-worthy, and compliant with organisational standards.
    • Keep all records, including receipts for vehicle maintenance.
    • Provie general administrative and logistics support to the office.
    • Report any case of accident, injury, or damage of vehicles to the supervisor or manager.
    • Ensure vehicle documents (such as registration and insurance) ae valid.
    • Work on nights and weekends, if necessary.

    Qualifications

    • A valid drivers’ license.
    • 3 years of corporate driving experience.
    • No record of traffic violation.
    • Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics.
    • Ability to work without supervision.
    • Proficiency using GPS devices.
    • Sound knowledge of road safety.
    • Extensive knowledge of the operating area and local languages.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Must be between 25-35 years.
    • Must be focused, confident and observant.
