    Senior Laravel Developer

    Location: Victoria Island, Lagos + Partly Virtual
    Reporting Line: Chief Technology Officer

    About the Role

    • The incumbent will be responsible for developing, recording and maintaintng cutting edge web-based applications on portal plus premium service platforms.
    • He or she will build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the the entire dev team.

    Responsibilities

    • Designing, building and maintaining scalable software systems that power our products and infrastructures.
    • Building and maintain high-performance APIs and backend systems
    • Write clean and maintainable code with good test coverage.
    • Implement new features in collaboration with our design team.
    • Optimize existing code with special attention to performance and maintainability.
    • Lead writing and maintaining the documentation of code and architecture.
    • Review other engineer’s code and guide architecture decisions.
    • Contribute creatively to the future product roadmap.

    The Ideal Person
    The Ideal Candidate must have;

    Senior Java Engineer

    Job Purpose

    • The purpose of this role is to build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code. The incumbent will deliver high quality code that complies with design specifications, meets security and Java / JEE best practices and contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
    • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
    • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
    • Create the formal design documentation as required
    • Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle.
    • Translate requirements and use cases into functional applications

    The Ideal Person
    The Ideal candidate must have:

    • Minimum 5 years' of professional Java development experience
    • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
    • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies
    • Experience working with Hibernate, Oracle, and MySQL, PostgreSQL databases
    • Experience with creating, managing and consuming RESTful APIs
    • Experience working with Spring Framework
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

    • The responsibilities of this role include sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various technical roles.     The Ideal Person for this role must have:

    • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Recruiter.
    • Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter or Recruiter.
    • Experience in a recruitment consulting role is a plus.
    • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. Virtual or structured Interviews).
    • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for Tech roles.
    • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
    • Solid knowledge of contemporary hiring techniques (e.g. social recruiting etc).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Understanding of HR practices and labor legislation.
