We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented qualified lawyer to join our dynamic Legal Services department in Lagos as a Loan Documentation Litigation Officer. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and legal soundness of our loan documentation while also actively managing and mitigating legal risks associated with loan recovery and litigation. This position demands a professional with a strong foundation in Nigerian law and significant experience in either litigation, company secretarial functions, contract review, or general legal services, ideally gained within the financial sector. 

Requirements

• Must be a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-call experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Litigation (with a focus on debt recovery or commercial litigation preferred)
• Company Secretarial practice
• Contract Review and Drafting
• General Legal Services within a financial institution
• Profound understanding of Nigerian banking laws, regulations, and lending practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to all aspects of documentation.
• Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve favorable resolutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Collaborate with the IT department to understand technical requirements and ensure procurement aligns with business and technical goals.
• Conduct market analysis to identify suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Manage vendor performance and relationships to ensure compliance with contracts, delivery timelines, and service expectations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and inventory tracking.
• Ensure procurement activities are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
• Contribute to IT budgeting, cost control, and forecasting activities.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize technology spend and value.
• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation related to IT vendor engagements and licensing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in IT procurement or IT contract management.
• Strong technical knowledge of IT products, including hardware, software, licensing, SaaS, networking, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating IT vendor contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and IT asset management tools.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Knowledge of IT compliance, data privacy, and security standards is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CIPS, or PMP) are a plus.
