    Financial Advisor

    Location: Lekki Pennisula, Lagos

    Summary

    • The Financial Advisory & Treasury Manager will be responsible for treasury and cash flow management, manage foreign exchange exposure, lead internal financial advisory projects, and lead fundraising efforts.
    • The manager will also be responsible for managing subordinates in the achievement of the department’s goals.

    Job Responsibilities
    Treasury:

    • Manage cash flow of the company; ensure liquidity to satisfy debts as they fall due and fund budgeted goals
    • Manage the working capital of the company
    • Carry-out treasury risk management
    • Produce treasury reports as required

    Foreign exchange, insurance and related risk management:

    • Manage foreign currency risk and ensure currency diversification
    • Monitor currencies and interest rates
    • Update hedging strategy and risk mitigation measures to manage FX/interest rate
    • Execute hedging transactions
    • Establish minimum insurance coverage requirements
    • Manage procedures to secure competitive insurance rates

    Financial advisory:

    • Develop and execute framework for deal management (origination, structuring, execution, management, etc.)
    • Develop and implement debt and/or equity fund raising strategies
    • Develop and implement fund raising strategies for different fund classes e.g. (debt, equity, mezzanine, etc.)
    • Develop investor related documents (e.g., investment teasers, investor decks, information memorandums etc.)
    • Develop financial models for the company; update 5-year forecast of the company on a quarterly or bi-annual basis
    • Perform valuation of the company as required
    • Oversee the due diligence and conditions precedent to investment process
    • Always seek to optimize the capital structure of the company; ensure low cost of capital
    • Support budgeting process
    • Provide financial advisory to the different product teams and other departments that may require it
    • Assist with setting up financial key performance indicators across the organization and reviewing them on a frequent basis
    • Support the continuous improvement of the company by proffering and implementing solutions to achieve financial targets
    • Assess investment opportunities, and develop business cases
    • Manage investment process
    • Manage investments

    Fundraising:

    • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective investors
    • Source funds from investors
    • Lead negotiations with investors
    • Manage relationship with investors including having frequent meetings, developing and sharing investor reports etc.

    Others:

    • Goal setting
    • Supervise subordinates in achieving the department’s goals
    • Perform other functions as may be required by the company

    Required Qualifications

    • First Degree or equivalent in a credible university with at least a 2.1 degree
    • Postgraduate/professional qualification in a numerate field or an MBA will be an added advantage
    • ACCA or CFA qualification is a plus
    • Minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant work experience, with at least two (2) years in a managerial role, leadership and credit risk management

    Skiils:

    • Good knowledge of the finance industry
    • Investment banking, financial advisory, private equity or venture capital experience
    • In-depth understanding FinTech business and products
    • Hands on experience with key stakeholders’ engagement and deals origination and closure

    Credit Risk Manager

    Location: Lekki Pennisula, Lagos

    Summary

    • The Credit Risk Manager will develop, implement and maintain credit policies and procedures to alleviate losses and maintain capital.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop, implement and maintain the credit risk policy, procedures and systems
    • Clearly define the risk acceptance criteria for the different products and services
    • Improve the quality (timeliness, process, cover, etc.) of the credit appraisal process
    • Support the execution of credit related processes to identify potential financial, operational, regulatory/compliance and reputational risks
    • Review and approve credit related waivers
    • Monitor and flag violations of credit policies
    • Proactively identify problem accounts and make timely recommendations for remedial action
    • Analyze and report delinquent accounts
    • Improve recovery rate
    • Ensure the company achieves its bad debt, non-performing loans targets and meets other credit risk performance related key performance indicators.
    • Liaise with appropriate regulatory authorities with respect to credit risk management activities
    • Lead the implementation of credit related business rules during workflow or system automation (Core Banking Application inclusive)
    • Coach all stakeholders with respect to credit risk management policies, practices and standards
    • Play lead role in projects to collect data, analyze data and automate credit decision making
    • Prepare timely, comprehensive and reliable credit risk reports to stakeholders at all levels
    • Provide projections on the impact of credit exposures on the company’s future profitability
    • Make recommendations to management to address identified weaknesses in the company’s credit policies and practices
    • Develop and manage the departmental budget and contribute actively to the preparation of the company wide budget
    • Manage and supervise subordinates in the achievement of the department’s goals
    • Other task assigned to you from time to time based on business priorities.

    Required Qualification

    Senior Accountant

    Location: Lekki Pennisula, Lagos

    Job Summary

    • The Accountant is responsible for the monitoring and controlling of Company’s finances and setting of budgets.
    • In addition, is responsible and accountable for the accuracy, quality and validity of all financial transactions and production of periodical and statutory financial statements and other agreed management reports.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops the annual budget with inputs from departmental heads.
    • Responsible for the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
    • Ensures that all contracts and expenses are in line with budget and have been awarded at competitive rates.
    • Responsible for financial reconciliations and reports.
    • Be responsible for overseeing and managing payables, receivables.
    • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting system.
    • Reviews the monthly payroll prepared to ensure that the amount to be paid corresponds to the terms of the employee’s contract.
    • Develop, maintain, and analyses budgets, prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
    • Support auditors to ensure financial audits are completed.
    • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.
    • Responsible for ensuring the company is up to date with its statutory filings and payments e.g. FIRS< WHT, VAT, etc.
    • Develop and continuously improve on the company’s accounting policies, procedures, manuals, key performance indicators etc.
    • Work with product managers to develop generic and customized reports to track the financial performance of their products.
    • Support the finance team as it relates to treasury functions, financial modelling, and other accounting advisory matters.
    • Approves all vouchers, invoices and cheques, transfers and other forms of payments.

    Requirements
    Education

    • B.Sc or M.Sc in Accounting, Finance or Business.
    • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations preferred, ICAN, ACCA
    • Preference for 2nd class upper and above.

    Other:

    • 2+ years of financial experience a plus
    • 1 to 2 years management experience a plus
    • Completion of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program (required)

    Skills:

    • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.
    • Strong analytical and accounting skills.
    • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to set priorities
    • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
    • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
    • Will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / her work product. Also work closely with all major functional leaders of the Company.
