    Chief Engineer (Marine)

    Overview

    • The Chief Engineer oversees the engineering department, ensuring the vessel’s machinery, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment operate efficiently and reliably.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engineering systems onboard.
    • Supervise and train engineering crew to uphold safety and technical standards.
    • Monitor fuel consumption and engine performance during operations.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental and engineering regulations.
    • Conduct routine inspections and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
    • Maintain records of equipment, repairs, and engineering logs.

    Qualifications

    • Valid Chief Engineer’s license (STCW compliant).
    • 8 - 13 years extensive experience in vessel engineering, preferably on security or defence vessels.
    • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
    • Applicable Certificate of Competency from Nimasa.

    Second Engineer (Marine)

    Overview

    • The Second Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in maintaining and operating the vessel’s engineering systems.
    • They are directly involved in the daily operation, repair, and maintenance of machinery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in the operation and maintenance of engines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
    • Conduct routine checks and ensure proper functioning of all machinery.
    • Supervise junior engineering staff and assign tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer.
    • Monitor engine performance and report issues to the Chief Engineer.
    • Maintain engineering logs and support in preparing maintenance reports.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards during engineering operations.

    Qualifications

    • Valid Second Engineer’s license (STCW compliant).
    • 8 - 12 years experience with mechanical systems on vessels, preferably in security or high-speed craft.
    • Good technical understanding and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
    • Applicable Certificate of Competence from Nimasa.

    Chief Mate

    Overview

    • The Chief Mate is second-in-command and oversees the deck crew's operations, ensuring the vessel's safe and efficient navigation, compliance with security protocols.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the Captain in vessel operations and assume command when required.
    • Supervise deck crew activities, including navigation, cargo handling, and maintenance.
    • Plan and execute escort routes in collaboration with the captain and security team.
    • Ensure all safety and security equipment is operational and well-maintained.
    • Conduct training for deck crew in emergency response and security procedures.
    • Maintain navigational charts and voyage documentation.

    Qualifications

    • Valid Chief Mate license (STCW compliant).
    • 7 - 15 years experience in supervisory roles aboard escort or patrol vessels.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
    • Applicable Certificate of Competencyfrom Nimasa.

    Vessel Captain (Marine)

    Overview

    • The Captain is responsible for the overall command, operation, and safety of the security escort vessel.
    • They ensure compliance with maritime regulations, oversee crew performance, and maintain the vessel's readiness for its escort duties.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Command and oversee all aspects of vessel operations, including navigation, safety, and security.
    • Ensure compliance with international, flag state, and company regulations.
    • Plan and execute escort missions in coordination with client and security teams.
    • Manage the crew and assign duties effectively.
    • Conduct risk assessments and ensure readiness for emergency response.
    • Maintain records such as logs, reports, and incident documentation.
    • Represent the company in interactions with clients, authorities, and port officials.

    Qualifications

    • Valid Master’s license (STCW compliant)..
    • 4 - 15 years experience in commanding similar vessels, preferably in security escort or defence roles.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
    • Applicable Certificate of Competencyfrom Nimasa.
