Major Responsibilities

• Examination and dissection of surgical resection specimens, to select the most appropriate samples for microscope slides
• microscopic examination of tissues

Requirements / Qualifications

• Degree in Medicine and appropriate license to practice
• 3 years experience as a specialist (However, open to recent grads)
• Maintain standards according to relevant industry specific organization
• General knowledge of clinical and surgical practice
• Well organised with excellent time management skills
• Attention to details and an keen eye for pattern recognition

Major Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyse body fluids or tissues using microscope or automatic analyser to detect abnormalities or diseases
• Conduct blood tests and perform blood counts
• Examine cells and cultures to find abnormalities.
• Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment
• Analyse results of tests
• Record test data
• Work with a pathologist when abnormal cells are found
• Prepare standard solutions or reagents to be combined with samples
• Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment, for example centrifuges, titrators, pipetting machines and pH meters
• Keep equipment in a clean and serviceable condition and ensure the safe removal of waste
• Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced and that everything is clearly and correctly labelled
• Follow and ensure strict safety procedures and safety checks.

Requirements

• HND/BSc degree in Medical Lab Technology or a related field
• Valid Laboratory Technician license.
• Ability to draw blood
• Ability to stand the sight of bodily fluids
• Able to work together as part of a team
• Able to maintain a safe, clean work environment
• Superb documentation skills
• Great verbal communication skills and able to explain complex medical terms simply

Other Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years work experience
• Proven experience working as a Lab Technician.
• Working experience operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.
• Superb dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Keen attention to detail.

Major Responsibilities:

• Examining the eyes of patients of all ages to detect signs of injury, disease, abnormality or vision defects;
• Using specialist equipment for diagnosis and testing;
• Issuing prescriptions for spectacles or contact lenses;
• Fitting and checking prescribed lenses in order to correct vision defects;

Educational Requirement:

• Must possess a license for O.D. and optometry.

Major Responsibilities

• Compounding and dispensing medications, as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitoring customers’ drug therapies, advising interventions, and informing customers of any potential side effects.
• Instructing customers on how and when to take prescribed medications.
• Ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
• Completing operational requirements of the pharmacy, including verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, charges, and removing expired and/or damaged drugs from the pharmacy’s inventory.
• Conducting health and wellness screenings.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacology.
• Proven experience as a Pharmacist.

• Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications, used by pharmacies, such as MEDITECH and Mediware.
