    Professional Carpenter

    Role Overview

    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and finishing a wide range of furniture pieces to a high standard.
    • This role requires hands-on expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Construct and assemble furniture such as wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, beds, doors, and office fittings
    • Interpret technical drawings, measurements, and design specifications accurately
    • Cut, shape, and join wood and other materials using hand and power tools
    • Ensure smooth finishing, edging, polishing, and proper installation
    • Carry out repairs and modifications on existing furniture when required
    • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
    • Work closely with designers and supervisors to meet production timelines
    • Follow health and safety standards in the workshop

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a professional carpenter, preferably in furniture manufacturing
    • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements
    • High attention to detail and finishing quality
    • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team

    Preferred Skills (Advantage):

    • Experience with modern furniture designs and fittings
    • Knowledge of CNC machines or advanced woodworking equipment
    • Basic understanding of installation work (on-site fittings).
