    Finance Associate

    Job Description

    • The Finance Associate will be responsible for extending valuable support in analyzing the financial services and providing appropriate solutions so as to achieve the financial objectives of our organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Booking bank payments in accordance with the M-KOPA approved chart of accounts by D+2 after the payments is affected.
    • Processing requisition and other business forms, checking account balances, and purchases.
    • Managing account records, issuing invoices, and handling payments.
    • Collaborating with internal departments to reconcile any accounting discrepancies.
    • Analyzing financial data and assisting with audits, reviews, and tax preparations.
    • Updating financial spreadsheets and reports with the latest available data.
    • Keeping records and documenting financial processes.
    • Collaborate with procurement units to ensure that we have suitable inventory forecast for RCF
    • Own physical custody and safekeep of inventory and collaborate with other stakeholders in ensuring that inventory is properly received, stored in the right conditions, and issued for distribution in a timely manner.
    • Ensures that process around inventory management and controls are adhered to and all documents necessary for the proper implementation of the processes are properly generated and stored in the right format.
    • Performs his/her responsibility in a way that would allow for meaningful information to be generated to aid decision-making in other related activities.
    • Support finance manager in periodic monthly inventory count a generates a variance report at least once a month with proper explanations for variances.
    • Owns inventory master list on the system as well as process around invoicing of vendors and issue of inventory to distribution.
    • Monthly general ledger reconciliation of prepayment, accruals, bank statements, inventory.
    • End month journal preparation and posting e.g. revenue, product cost, payment fees.
    • Managing the purchase to pay process and specifically ensuring Purchase Orders are raised on time (before the goods / services are ordered), have all correct information (including an attachment from the vendor e.g., a quote) and are appropriately received.
    • Liaising with the company’s auditors, bankers, and tax advisors.
    • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations e.g., returns submitted and taxes paid on time.

     Experience, Skills & Competencies

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration (Finance or accounting option), Statistics Commerce or related courses from recognized university.
    • Accounting qualifications (CIMA / CPA / ACCA / ICAN) or in the final stage.
    • 2-4 years of experience in a similar position or worked with reputable organization/agency.
    • A proactive approach to work, the ability to handle multiple tasks and to maintain a high-quality standard when working under time pressure.
    • Full computer Literacy with proficiency in the application of all MS office functions, especially Ms Word & Excel.
    • A mature personality of high integrity with a great team working skills, a courteous attitude and clear sense of confidentiality.

    Sales Executive

    Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
    Job type: Full-time (Associate)

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor and deliver set sales target within the designated territory.
    • Achieve and surpass sales targets of M-KOPA products by developing local networks.
    • Uphold the brand values of M-KOPA, including ensuring the M-KOPA retail point standard and guidelines are adhered to.
    • Recruit, train, coach, mentor & supervise field-based team of Direct Sales Representatives (DSR) to meet the set targets in line with M-KOPA business goals.
    • Keenly monitor and evaluate the performance of DSRs to meet the performance standards
    • Manage DSR inventory and resolve audit recommendations in line with M-KOPA audit resolution guidelines
    • Design Sales and Marketing Strategy for the team to ensure Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly sales target are reached.
    • Monitor and Analyze performance of Marketing campaigns
    • Report writing

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. or a Higher National Diploma Holder in any related field
    • 3+ years of Sales experience in a FinTech Microfinance, Insurance, Telecommunications, Mobile-Money, FMCG or other product/service in Nigeria.
    • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
    • Ability to motivate and lead a team
    • Planning, Organization, and Conflict-resolution skills
    • Excellent Presentation, Communication, Coaching, and People Skills
    • Great at leading a wide array of people to perform
    • Ability to work calmly under pressure
    • Should have a process-oriented mindset
