• Web Engineers are responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web applications for maximum efficiency and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties.
• Web Engineers are required to work in teams alongside Backend Engineers, Product Managers and UX Designers to ensure all elements of web application creations are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Web Engineer Responsibilities

• Write code to implement visual elements into various web applications
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Maintain web applications and implement any necessary additions or enhancements
• Identify and troubleshoot various web application issues and coding problems
• Collaborate with members of the team, including designers and back-end engineers, to consistently improve functionality and user-friendliness of web applications.

Requirements

• A keen interest in UX and understanding of key design principle
• Proper understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux and Context API) and building reusable components for future use
• Experience with micro front end applications is a bonus
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Good understanding of SEO principles including web analytics and ensuring that application will adhere to them
• Write functional requirement documents and specifications.
• Willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Good interpersonal skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement various testing and automation tools, and commission IT infrastructure
• Provision, Configure, & De-Provision Environments via Automation
• Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
• Apply troubleshooting techniques and advise on fixing code bugs
• Ensure developers adheres to defined DevOps processes and update or create new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Develop appropriate metrics to demonstrate system performance and agility using appropriate monitoring tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
• Recognize and adopt best practices in documentation, testing, security, operations and support at scale and efficient use of resources.
• Perform incidence management and root cause analysis
• Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
• Understand teams’ requirements and project KPIs

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience in a similar role
• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with CI/CD Platforms (Azure DevOps is a Plus)
• Strong exposure working with at least one of GCP, AWS & Microsoft Azure (preferably Azure & AWS)
• Solid experience with ElasticSearch, Datadog, Sentry
• Good understanding of technologies like Ansible, Terraform etc
• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration and management
• Exposure maintaining and support monitoring and alerting systems
• Working experience supporting and troubleshooting relational databases and distributed platform
• Working knowledge of monitoring and event management tool Implementations
• Basic system administration and Linux skills

Role Overview

• We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated First Line IT Support Engineer to assist with the maintenance and day-to-day running of the Kuda Technology IT estate.
• Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, the role holder will provide face-to-face support, as well as electronic/virtual support and communications.

Roles & Responsibilities

• As the 1st Line IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking a varied range of system, networking and infrastructure activities with oversight from the Head of Technology Operations.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• 1st line support about any user problem on both Mac and PCs, mobile devices in person, via phone and Slack
• Delivering in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Serve as the "go-to" person for internal users
• Account creation for new starters
• Management of users in G suite for your designated location
• Management of Email Groups
• Management of Google apps
• Continuous use of Jira and Confluence
• Management of ticket queues
• Management of assets, checking the availability of IT resources and necessary stock
• Updating and documenting processes
• Hands-on patching and tidying up cables, moving workstations, organizing IT-related stuff for staff etc
• Monitor systems performances and report with relevant information about eventual issues
• Assist with the delivery of periodical pieces of training on IT-related matters to all the staff at your designated location
• Help ensure the cyber security standards are always met
• Telephony and video conferencing
• Google collaboration tools
• Ability to perform confidently in client-facing situations as required
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Requirements

• Previous experience in an IT support role
• Previous experience in FinTech and/or Financial Services (desirable but not mandatory)
• Basic understanding of GDPR as it pertains to the role
• Good analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Able to quickly master new systems
• Detail-oriented and self-starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, and demonstrable common sense
• Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications Word, Excel and Outlook
