    Fund Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Fund Manager is responsible for creating value, retaining value and preserving value for clients and company.
    • He collaborates with other team members to implement investment strategies, oversee investments, review investment portfolios and analyze fund performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop investment strategies that align with clients' financial goals.
    • Monitor the financial market trends to draw investment plans and ensure effective portfolio management.
    • Meet with clients regularly to review and adjust their investment portfolios.
    • Perform due diligence. No stone goes unturned on your watch. Scrutinizing every potential investment, ensuring it aligns with our goals.
    • Monitor portfolio performance. You'll keep a hawk's eye on our investments, ensuring they’re performing optimally.
    • Assist in clients acquisition process and product development with a view to improving revenue drive
    • Develop and implement investment strategies to maximize fund value.
    • Conduct thorough financial research and analysis to identify investment opportunities.
    • Manage portfolio risk through diversification and other risk management techniques.
    • Regularly review and adjust investment strategies based on market conditions.
    • Ensure compliance with all industry rules and regulations.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders about fund performance and investment strategies.
    • Participate in preparing and driving financial plans and budgets for the company in conjunction with other departments.
    • Prepare and submit statutory reports.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. A Master's Degree or CFA is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in fund management or investment banking with a proven track record of generating returns.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information.
    • High level of integrity and a strong understanding of financial regulations and laws.
    • Demonstrably strong Asset Management background;
    • Membership of relevant professional bodies.

    Risk Analyst

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Group Risk team in ensuring that losses arising from failed or inadequate internal processes, systems, people and external events fall within the Group's risk appetite, and is in alignment with the organization’s corporate strategy
    • Provide support to departments within the business unit in the identification of operational risk issues, and designing controls to mitigate risks identified
    • Ensure the proper implementation of the operational risk management framework, policies and procedures of the organization within the Business Unit
    • Ensure prompt completion and rendition of annually Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), and monthly Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
    • Develop KRIs required to track newly identified or emerging risk exposures
    • Assist departments with the identification of key risk(s) on an ongoing basis
    • Identify and report operational risk events.
    • Perform root cause analyses on identified risk events and recommend controls to be implemented to prevent these risk events from re-occurring.
    • Monitor the implementation of actions plans to address key risks identified from RCSAs, KRIs and reported loss incidents
    • Monitor the Business Unit's risk exposure closely to ensure operational efficiency, expected sales and proper redress of limiting factors
    • Monitor and ensure timely close-out of recommended controls for mitigating identified risks

    Requirements

    • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related course, Economics, Accounting or Engineering; Masters’ degree in a relevant field of study or relevant professional qualification would be an advantage
    • 5 years or more relevant experience in financial services
    • Good interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
