What we ask

• HND/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (required)
• Additional certifications in OT/ICS, networking, or security are highly desirable.

Experience:

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in OT/ICS, network engineering, or industrial systems administration.
• Experience working in critical infrastructure sectors such as manufacturing, utilities, energy, or oil & gas.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong working knowledge of Cisco switches and CLI (Catalyst 9000, IE series).
• Understanding of field-level communication between OT devices and industrial control systems.
• Proficient in VMware and server OS administration (Windows Server, Linux).
• Familiar with SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Wonderware, GE iFIX).

Preferred Certifications:

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP (Industrial or Enterprise)
• GICSP, CompTIA Security+, or ISA/IEC 62443
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

Soft Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across OT and IT teams

This role is responsible for the following:

• Drives a progressive safety and Quality culture. Drive safely and report all safety and quality related incident(s)
• Organise monthly training sessions for Fulani and smallholder farmers on improved dairy practices, including feeding, milking hygiene, and herd management techniques.
• Promote regular animal health checks, vaccinations, and deworming to reduce disease outbreaks and improve cow productivity.
• Encourage the adoption of improved cow breeds or crossbreeding methods to increase milk yield and strengthen herd genetics.
• Support farmers in developing proper feed and fodder plans, using locally available and sustainable feed resources.
• Train farmers on clean milking techniques and safe milk handling to improve milk quality and reduce post-milking contamination.
• Track and increase average milk yield per cow, targeting at least a 20–30% improvement over baseline figures within 12 months.
• Engage with FMP and smallholder cooperatives to promote group learning, bulk milk collection, and collective problem-solving.
• Visit farmer groups regularly(minimum twice a month per group) to provide one-on-one support and gather feedback on challenges.
• Assist in setting up basic animal health recordsfor farmers to monitor treatments, calving, and production cycles.
• Create linkages with veterinary officers and animal health services, ensuring farmers have access to timely treatment and expert care.
• Follow up with BMGF activities, report on weekly basis the achievement of BMGF deliverables in your operational areas: Training, Animal health, AI, feed & fodders, women empowerment etc
