    Mechanical Fitter - Golden Sugar Company

    PURPOSE ​

    To support the mechanical team by ensuring that all fitting-related tasks are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in line with best engineering practices, while minimizing operational costs.

    THE JOB

    • Execute all planned and corrective maintenance activities using the Job Order system.
    • Perform daily inspections on assigned equipment and report findings to the supervisor.
    • Carry out maintenance work in line with standard engineering practices and company procedures.
    • Identify potential equipment faults proactively and escalate issues for prompt resolution.
    • Ensure all work areas are clean and properly maintained after completing tasks.
    • Accurately complete and submit Job Orders within the same shift.
    • Diagnose faults effectively and implement timely solutions.
    • Maintain compliance with FSMS and QMS standards.

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Possess strong technical and mechanical skills.
    • Be detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
    • Demonstrate a proactive approach to maintenance and fault detection.
    • Be disciplined with strong adherence to procedures and safety standards.
    • Have the ability to work independently and within a team.
    • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization.

    QUALIFICATION

    • Minimum of O’ Level with Trade Test Grade
    • Additional industrial or technical training is an added advantage.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar industrial environment.
    • Demonstrated technical competence with verifiable references is an added advantage.

    Packaging Engineer Golden Sugar Company

    PURPOSE ​

    To improve the efficiency, safety, and quality of packaging equipment within the Finished Product Department by implementing effective maintenance processes and managing engineering projects across packaging lines

    THE JOB

    • Implement reliability and preventive maintenance programs for packaging equipment (Form & Fill and Cubeline lines).
    • Utilize predictive maintenance tools such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, infrared thermography, and oil analysis.
    • Analyze equipment data and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging line efficiency and manufacturability.
    • Troubleshoot and optimize new and existing packaging equipment.
    • Collaborate with operations to identify root causes of production issues and implement solutions.
    • Design and manage projects involving packaging and support systems (conveying, robotics, instrumentation, weight control, and quality systems).
    • Manage engineering projects from concept to completion.
    • Communicate technical concepts effectively across teams and leadership levels.
    • Support operations during weekends or extended hours when required.

    THE PERSON MUST 

    • Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Be hands-on with a strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
    • Be proactive and detail-oriented.
    • Be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Strong hands-on experience with packaging or production lines is preferred.
    • Knowledge of electrical systems, control systems integration, and electro-mechanical drives.
