PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Primary Responsibility of the Packaging Engineer is to improve the efficiency, safety and quality of the packaging Equipment (Small packs- Form and Fill Cubeline lines) in the finished product department by implementing proper maintenance processes. The Engineer manages project in the packaging department.

THE JOB

• Utilize predictive maintenance tools for vibration, ultrasonic, infrared, oil analysis, etc.

• Implement a reliability and preventative program in Packaging Station.

• Interpret data and recommend countermeasures.

• Improve the manufacturability of products and packaging equipment. Work with operations on continuous improvement of packaging lines and equipment. This is a hands-on engineering role.

• Troubleshoots and improves new and existing equipment. Partners with operations to gather data to identify root causes and solutions to production problems.

• Originate concepts for new and existing packaging equipment, including support equipment such as conveying, robotics, instrumentation, weight control, and quality systems. Manage and engineer approved projects through to completion. Projects will cover a diverse range both in scope and area.

• Effectively communicate ideas and concepts to peers, subordinates and leadership within the organization and across organizational lines. 

THE PERSON MUST

QALIFICATION

• BSC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or any related Course.

EXPERIENCE

• 5 Years cognate Experience 
• Strong Mechanical Experience on  Packing Lines will be an added advantage
• Fundamental Understanding of electrical design, control systems integration, electro-mechanical drive systems and safety.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To operate the crane whenever required by any department under the supervision of the shift supervisor and aid the department with completing their scheduled tasks.

THE JOB

• Carry out daily inspection of the crane and perform routine maintenance procedures as required.

• Operate the crane whenever required by any department under the supervision of the shift Supervisor for effective and safe operation.
• Report all observed maintenance and repair needs of the crane to the shift supervisor to ensure that it is addressed promptly.
• Keep the supervisor up to date on all activities as they occur when working outside the company premises for effective supervision.

THE PERSON MUST

• Be proficient in oral and written communication skills.

• Possess great physical dexterity and stamina.

• OND or NABTEB

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for the safe operation of various packaging equipment on the cubeline which includes start up, operation, and troubleshooting of issues to comply with production goals, company safety guidelines, and good manufacturing practices.  Conducts minor machine fixes and repairs and work together with maintenance team during major repairs and overhauls.

THE JOB

• Set up and operate cube forming, drying and packing machines for cube sugar products.

• Control and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain desired line speed.

• Test operation of machines periodically.

• Ensure package and product quality at operating station.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently.

• Remove damaged products or supplies, as needed.

• Responsible for accurate production and packaging changeovers as per packaging schedule.

• Maintain a clean work area and clean equipment before and after shift.

• Keep daily records of down time and machine operations.

• Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic to promote a healthy and safe working environment.

THE PERSON MUST

• Be proficient in oral and written communication skills.

• Possess active listening skills.

• Have team spirit and the ability to follow instructions.                                                                                                                                                  
• Have Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

QUALIFICATION

• OND in Mechanical, Electrical or Related course.

EXPERIENCE

• 2 Years Experience in a similar role. 
• Experience as a packaging equipment operator will be a plus.

Purpose of the Job

• To ensure service availability, proper operation and maintenance of Wartsila generators and Auxiliaries for smooth supply of power supply to the factory.

The Job

• Ensure the enforcement of safe conditions within the power plant and  forthright in assessing impact of action on product safety/quality, people's safety, and on the environment regardless of directives.
• Ensure service availability for smooth supply of power to the factory.
•  Operate, maintain and overhaul of Wartsila generators, heat recovery boilers and auxiliaries.
•  Take log of generators, heat recovery boilers, compressors and other auxiliaries at the required intervals.
• Interpret faults, analyze trends and generates root cause of plant or engine failure.
• Follow up on the execution of both plant preventive and breakdown maintenance activities respectively.
• Ensures proper documentation of all maintenance activities.
• Carries out other assignment as directed by the supervisor.

Qualification

• OND in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

• 3 Years Cognate Experience.
• Experience using Wartsila Engine Operation.
