    HSE Manager

    Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, or any related Science discipline.

    Experience

    • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Experience in oil and gas, engineering, fabrication, construction, maintenance, marine, or industrial services sector.
    • Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining integrated management systems.

    Professional Certifications

    • Registered member of ISPON or equivalent recognized HSE professional body.
    • ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
    • ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
    • Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis training.
    • First Aid, Fire Safety, Emergency Response or Risk Assessment certifications are added advantages.

    Technical Knowledge

    The candidate shall possess:

    • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian HSE legislation and regulatory requirements, including those issued by NUPRC, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, NESREA, and other applicable authorities.
    • Sound understanding of international HSE standards, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and relevant industry best practices.
    • Thorough knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment and control methodologies.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    Leadership and Management

    • Develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve the Company's HSE Management System.
    • Develop annual HSE objectives, targets, programmes, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Provide leadership and guidance to HSE personnel across all company locations and project sites.
    • Promote a positive HSE culture by demonstrating visible leadership and encouraging employee participation.
    • Advise Management on HSE risks, emerging regulatory requirements, and improvement opportunities.

    HSE Management System

    • Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
    • Develop, review, and update HSE policies, procedures, safe work practices, and guidelines.
    • Ensure HSE documentation is maintained, controlled, and periodically reviewed.
    • Coordinate management reviews relating to HSE performance.

    Legal and Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian HSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor changes in HSE laws, standards, and client requirements and ensure timely implementation.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies, clients, certification bodies, and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
    • Coordinate statutory inspections, permits, approvals, and regulatory reporting.

    Risk Management

    • Establish and maintain processes for hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of effective control measures.
    • Ensure Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Risk Assessments are conducted for all applicable activities.
    • Review project HSE plans and ensure risks are adequately managed before work commences.
    • Monitor implementation of risk controls and verify their effectiveness.

    Operational HSE Oversight

    • Monitor HSE performance across fabrication yards, workshops, project sites, warehouses, offices, laboratories, and field operations.
    • Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work systems and safe work procedures.
    • Conduct routine HSE inspections and workplace audits.
    • Verify compliance with PPE requirements and safe work practices.
    • Ensure emergency equipment, firefighting systems, first aid facilities, and emergency response arrangements remain effective.

    Incident Management

    • Ensure all incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions are promptly reported and investigated.
    • Lead or coordinate incident investigations using appropriate root cause analysis techniques.
    • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and verified for effectiveness.
    • Monitor incident trends and recommend preventive initiatives.

    Environmental Management

    • Ensure effective management of environmental aspects and impacts associated with company operations.
    • Monitor waste segregation, storage, transportation, and disposal activities.
    • Promote pollution prevention, energy conservation, and sustainable environmental practices.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting requirements.

    Emergency Preparedness

    • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans.
    • Coordinate emergency drills and evaluate emergency response effectiveness.
    • Ensure emergency response teams are adequately trained and equipped.
    • Coordinate response during emergencies and support post-incident recovery activities.

     Training and Competence

    • Identify HSE training needs for employees and contractors.
    • Develop and coordinate HSE induction programmes and competency training.
    • Conduct toolbox talks, safety awareness campaigns, and behavioural safety programmes.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of HSE training and competency programmes.

    Contractor and Project HSE Management

    • Evaluate contractor HSE capability during vendor selection processes.
    • Monitor contractor compliance with Company and client HSE requirements.
    • Participate in project planning meetings to ensure HSE requirements are integrated into project execution.
    • Support project teams during mobilization, execution, and close-out activities.

    Performance Monitoring and Reporting

    • Monitor HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE performance reports.
    • Analyze HSE data to identify trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
    • Present HSE performance updates to Management and clients as required.

    Audits and Continuous Improvement

    • Plan and coordinate internal HSE audits and inspections.
    • Participate in external audits conducted by clients, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.
    • Monitor implementation and close-out of audit findings.
    • Promote continual improvement through lessons learned, best practices, and innovation.

    Budget and Resource Management

    • Prepare and manage the departmental budget.
    • Ensure adequate provision of PPE, emergency equipment, monitoring devices, and other HSE resources.
    • Evaluate and recommend HSE equipment and technology to improve operational performance.

    General Responsibilities

    • Ensure confidentiality of HSE records and information.
    • Represent the Company on HSE matters during client meetings and regulatory engagements.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by Management that are consistent with the objectives of the role.

    Construction Supervisor (M&P)

    Job Description:

    The Construction Supervisor will :

    • Lead, monitor, and control all on-site mechanical equipment installation and piping construction activities to ensure operations finish safely, on schedule, within budget, and in strict compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and international codes.
    • Assign daily tasks to pipefitters, welders, and mechanical technicians while interpreting isometric drawings, P&Ids.
    • Work out the most efficient installation steps for pipes and heavy equipment, monitor mechanical subcontractors, and identify design clashes early to coordinate fixes with engineering.
    • Implement zero-tolerance rules for unsafe work practices, conduct daily tool-box talks, and verify all Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Permits to Work (PTW) are live.
    • Check gas cylinders daily, while monitoring welding parameters, pre-heating, and post-weld heat treatments (PWHT).
    • Check the leveling and alignment of static and rotating mechanical equipment, witness non-destructive testing (NDT), and sign off on final hydro-testing packages.
    • Verify incoming pipes, valves, and equipment match material certificates, track actual daily physical progress against the schedule, and request materials ahead of time.
    • Record field modifications accurately for "as-built" drawings, deliver clear daily and weekly progress reports, and maintain zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs).
    • Participate in PSSR, Punch list and MCC close out

    • Diploma / HND/ B.Tech in: Mechanical Engineering, Welding & Fabrication Technology, Or related engineering discipline.
    • Minimum of 8 years relevant construction experience in oil & gas, fabrication, maintenance, EPCIC, or industrial projects.

    Construction Supervisor (Civil)

    Job Description:

    The Construction Supervisor (Civil) will be responsible for, but not limited to:

    • Direct, monitor, and control all on-site civil works, structural concrete, excavation, and earthworks to ensure operations finish safely, on schedule, within budget, and in strict compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and international building codes.
    • Assign daily tasks to masons, carpenters, steel fixers, operators, insulators and civil laborers while interpreting structural layouts, reinforcement drawings, architectural blueprints, and site survey layouts for the crew.
    • Work out the most efficient sequencing for excavation, rebar tying, formwork erection, and concrete pouring, while monitoring civil subcontractors and identifying design clashes early to coordinate fixes with engineering.
    • Implement zero-tolerance rules for unsafe civil work practices, conduct daily tool-box talks, and verify all Job Safety Analyses (JSA), deep excavation permits, and working-at-height Permits to Work (PTW) are live.
    • Check scaffolding, shoring systems, trench benching, and heavy earthmoving equipment daily, while monitoring concrete slump tests, cube sampling, and proper curing procedures.
    • Check the leveling, positioning, and alignment of foundations, structural columns, and anchor bolts using survey data, witness soil compaction testing, and sign off on pre-pour checklists.
    • Verify incoming bulk materials like rebar, cement, aggregates, and ready-mix concrete match quality Certificates, track actual daily physical progress against the schedule, and request materials ahead of time.
    • Record field modifications and soil condition deviations accurately for "as-built" drawings, deliver clear daily and weekly progress reports, and maintain zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs).

    Educational Qualification

    • HND/B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engineering, Physics Electronics, Metrology or any related Engineering discipline.

    Driver

    Job Description

    • Safely operate company vehicles to transport staff, materials, equipment, and official documents to various locations as required.
    • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any faults, defects, or maintenance requirements.
    • Ensure assigned vehicles are kept clean, secure, roadworthy, and properly maintained at all times.
    • Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety regulations, and the Company's driving and HSE policies.
    • Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, fuel consumption records, and other vehicle-related documentation.
    • Ensure the timely pick-up and drop-off of personnel and materials in accordance with approved schedules and instructions.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 2–3 years' proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a corporate, logistics, construction, or industrial environment.
    • Good knowledge of road networks, traffic regulations, and safe driving practices.
    • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to identify common vehicle faults.
