    Operational Technology (OT) Security Engineer

    JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

    • To assist the company’s OT Security Focal in performing daily operational OT security duties; ensuring appropriate and secure management and use of the OT systems and applications in the OT.
    • Operations shall be performed in compliance with OT Security Standard, other applicable OT security standards and legislation.

    Basic functions & Principal Responsibilities:

    • Provide input to the compliance assessment of the policies governing the company’s Operations
    • Technology and the systems that are connected to it. Policies include:
    • Security Patch Management within the company OT Domain.
    • Antivirus DAT Updates Management within the company OT Domain.
    • Acceptable Use of Portable Media within the company OT Domain.
    • OT Domain Access and Security.
    • OT Domain Backup and Restore
    • Maintain an inventory of computers, servers and other access devices that are attached to the Network
    • Ensure the asset inventory list is up to date in line with the company OT Security Manual - Asset Inventory requirements.
    • Provide input to the periodic reviews of the asset inventory information.
    • Maintain an inventory of portable media (including laptops), that are used in the OT Network.
    • Administer portable medias (including laptops) and maintain a record of portable media use.
    • This includes maintaining the secure scanning stations, and access points within the OT.
    • Manage user access after authorization by OT Administrator and Site Focal
    • Add, remove, or update user account information after authorization.
    • Maintain role-based-access-control (RBAC) in the OT.
    • Reset passwords with user signoffs.
    • Monitor external remote user access sessions to the OT, ensuring restriction and terminations are implemented in line with the company-OT Security Manual.
    • Ensure upkeep information in relation to Windows Active directory.
    • Ensure the OT user Access list is up to date in line with OT Domain Access and Security requirements.
    • Provide input to the periodic reviews of the OT User Access Control
    • Manage, assign, and maintain the list of network addresses and ensure all OT equipment and cables are labelled in line with the as-built documentation.
    • Apply operating systems updates, patches and make configuration changes to tighten security, subject to management of change process.
    • Conduct routine verification of the McAfee DAT distribution to the networked OT equipment to fortify the network security system.
    • Liaise with IMT team for the routine retrieval of anti-virus signatures and manually update the

    JOB / PERSON REQUIREMENT:

    • A minimum of BSC. /HND in Engineering or Sciences (Electronics/Electrical, Physical Electronics, Instrumentation, Control or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science) or any other professional certification required for the job + computer literacy.
    • A minimum of five (5) years’ post graduate work experience with IT or control and automation disciplines with at least 1 year in similar function in an LNG plant or in a petrochemical company.

    Mechanical Assessor

     

    JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

    • To supervise the Competency Development and Assurance of the technical workforce within the Production Engineering Maintenance Section ensuring that Plant Availability,
    • Reliability, and Integrity objectives are achieved for exporting LNG, LPG, and Condensate, in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
    • This position continuously develops Technicians, including senior and principal technicians, through coaching and mentoring in the Assessment and Progression (A&P) skill acquisition.

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Assist to ensure that the A&P (Assessment and Progression) scheme content stays current by rejuvenating competencies, writing competencies, generating underpinning knowledge tests and developing training materials in line with any plant equipment upgrades to ensure continuous LNG Train operation, gas receipt from suppliers, and loading of LNG, LPG, and Condensate to our valued customers.
    • Assist to manage the implementation of the A&P (Assessment and Progression) scheme within the Line, including on the-job-training, assessment observations and imputing data to maintain a current profile for each of the technicians, hence ensuring that a very competent Workforce maintains plant Production facilities for continuous LNG Train operation, gas receipt from suppliers, and loading of LNG, LPG, and Condensate to our valued customers.
    • Identify learning & development gaps that require Head of Technical Training intervention and liaise with Competence Assurance Coordinator and Discipline
    • Trainer for implementation to assure the required A&P Competency level is achieved for technical staff.
    • Guide technicians and graduate trainees collect and present evidence for assessments and to ensure tasks undertaken are carried out in line with company
    • HSSE standards and procedures. Maintain graduate trainee Personal Development Plan (PDP) to ensure required competencies are achieved.
    • Review and judge evidence against stated criteria, record assessment decisions and provide constructive feedback to the technicians, respective supervisors and
    • Discipline Trainers, update A&P portfolios and keep track of their progress to assure the required competencies for staff are achieved.
    • Assist in coaching and developing Portfolios for all company Maintenance /Engineering staff selected to be assessors within the A&P 1 & 2 schemes.
    • Attend A&P-1 scheme progress meetings as well as skill pool meetings to keep abreast with any changes within NLNG plant facilities.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Experience and qualifications

    • HND or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
    • Qualified On-Job-Trainer and Instructor. Also, A1, L9DI or D 32-33 and Internal verifier

    Experience.

    • 8-10 years postgraduate experience, out of which at least 5 years should have been spent as Job Instructor or Trainer and 5 years as Assessor
