    Junior Forklift Operator - Mechanical I & II

    Location: Ibese Plant, Ibese Plant

    Job Summary:

    At Dangote Cement Plc, we are currently seeking a friendly and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and goods around our warehouses and industrial sites.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Operate forklifts to move pallets of products between storage racks and workstations.
    • Inspect pallets to ensure they are structurally sound and safe for use.
    • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks of machinery.
    • Adhere to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to operate the forklift safely and efficiently.
    • Safely and securely store the forklift after use.
    • Participate in routine maintenance of the forklift.
    • Report any maintenance or repair requirements to the Shift Manager.
    • Promote and practice workplace safety.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination) or equivalent.
    • Valid Forklift Operator certification.
    • At least 4 years of experience operating a forklift.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team.

    HRIS (HR Information System) Specialist

    JOB SUMMARY

    The HRIS Specialist is part of the HR Team and maintains the integrity and reliability of the organization’s HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors), ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the HR department. 

    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborates with HR Leaders and organizational leadership to determine the short- and long-term requirements for HRIS modules, and systems
    • Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.
    • Prepares reports and presents analytics insights and findings / recommendations to the GCHRO and other company leaders.
    • Collaborates with other analysts (IT) to plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and to test new applications and features.
    • Identify training gaps impacting service quality and ensure gaps are addressed through relevant documentation and training materials.
    • Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation .
    • Provides user training and hands-on support.
    • In conjunction with IT, ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology
    • Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques and continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.
    • Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals.
    • Generates standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
    • Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
    • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS

    • Understands and uses qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.
    • Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred.
    • At least five years related experience required.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP®) or equivalent credential preferred.

    Light Vehicle Driver

    Location: Ibese DCT, Ibese DCT

    The Light Vehicle Driver will be responsible for safely operating light vehicles to transport people or items, performing basic maintenance checks, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery while following all traffic and safety regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate assigned Light Motor Vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, following all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company procedures.
    • Perform daily safety inspections and basic maintenance checks on the vehicle.
    • Conduct pre-operational checks and ensure vehicles are cleaned, lubricated, and refueled as per schedule or operational needs.
    • Monitor vehicle performance and report any maintenance or repair requirements to the Supervisor promptly.
    • Ensure routine servicing and cleanliness of the vehicle are maintained at all times.
    • Follow proper safety procedures and promote workplace safety during driving and loading/unloading tasks.
    • Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and maintenance checks when required.
    • Perform additional duties and transportation-related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

    Requirements

    • Must possess a valid Class C, D, or E Driver’s Licence and a maximum qualification of OND.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years of corporate driving experience. 
    • Good knowledge of light motor vehicles.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Good understanding of road safety rules and signs.
    • Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
    • Flexible to work different shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.            `
