    Deputy Tax Manager

    We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to manage multiple operations in the tax practice area and deliver quality tax services, that will increase the firm’s reputation. You will serve as a business advisor to our clients aiming at maximizing engagement and implementing strategies to aid Dangote Cement PLC (DCP) in complying with tax legislation.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Accurately preparing and filing federal and state tax returns on time.
    • Developing tax strategies for DCP being tax-compliant.
    • Identifying tax problems and developing solutions.
    • Completing responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits.
    • Monitoring developments in tax legislation.
    • Reviewing tax returns.
    • Informing management and staff of developments in tax legislation.
    • Supervising tax team members to ensure that tax returns are completed correctly.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with the various tax authority.

    Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Accounting or related discipline.
    • Relevant professional accounting qualifications such as. ACA, ACCA etc.
    • Minimum of 10 - 15 years of relevant work experience.
    • Big 4 working experience is an added advantage.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Proven experience as a tax manager, public accountant or similar role.

    Senior Mining Engineer - Cement Industry

    Description

    • Work through and with Mines staff to achieve Mines set objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with company policy and objectives as applied to Mines department.
    • Technically competent person solely responsible for Dangote Cement Company Plc Gboko Plant Mines as provide by section 73 (1) of the “Nigerian Minerals and Mining Act” of 2007.
    • Liaise with Mines HOD in drawing up the mines short and long term planning.
    • Liaise with Mines HOD on adequacies and suitability of staff recruitment into the department.
    • Liaise with Mines HOD in drawing up annual budget for the department.
    • Execute HOD strategies for optimum utilization of both machines and manpower.
    • Ensure that existing explosive magazines meet statutory provisions and adequate security surveillance round the clock according to the HOD’s specification.
    • Along with the HOD Mines, ensure security, welfare and safety of men and machines in all operations in the Mines.
    • Ensure daily Tool Box Talk are observed in the Mines
    • Along with the HOD Mines, ensure dispatch of Monthly Explosives and Mineral returns to the Mines Division of the Ministry of Mines and Steel development.
    • Along with the HOD Mines, ensure Circulation of monthly explosives report to the State Security Services (SSS) and Anti-Bomb squad of the Nigeria Police Force, Benue State Command.
    • Ensure necessary PPEs are used on regular basis.
    • Along with the HOD Mines, ensure Annual renewal of magazine Licenses, ANFO mixing permit and blasting certificates for blasters, periodic mining lease renewal and payment of surface rent on our leases.
    • Attend management meetings in the absence of the HOD, Mines.
    • Coordinate monthly department meetings along with the HOD.
    • Hold daily Mines management operational meetings
    • Responsible to the Deputy General Manager, Mines
    • Perform any other duties as may be assigned but the Plant Director, Mines from time to time..

    Deputy Maintenance Manager (Mechanical) - Packing Plant

    Job Summary

    Plan and coordinate all Packing Plant Maintenace activities to prevent disruptions to packing plant operations and ensure targets for the plant are met.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Participate in the development and articulation of the plant’s maintenance plan.
    • Oversee the effective and efficient execution of the plant’s maintenance plan at the packing plant unit.
    • Plan for and order packing plant machine spares, based on the units requirement, in a timely manner.
    • Supervise the activities of engineers to ensure that packing plant equipment’s are available for operations with minimum downtime in order to meet pre-set targets.
    • Oversee liaison with the relevant HSE personnel for the provision of personal protection equipment and safety training.

    Welder Technician - Packing Plant

    Job Summary

    Carry out various responsibilities related to the fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical equipment, instruments, and structures utilized within the plant.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Liaise with the Shift Technicians to identify problematic equipment/machines in the plant and effect repairs promptly.
    • Implement SOP’s for maintenance.
    • Execute corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment/ machines in a timely manner.
    • Assist to ensure safety precautions are observed and personal protection equipment are worn during repairs or scheduled maintenance.
    • Take inventory of working tools weekly to ensure that it matches the original tool list provided.
    • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
    • Replace minor fixtures in the plant machines.
    • Participate in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
    • Cleaning of welding machine before being put into operation.
    • Checking of the welding cables damaged joints, without insulation welding tongue condition, and earthling cable (earth).
    • Check all the terminals and the power source.
    • Switch on the machine and regulate it for a desirable purpose.
    • Ensure that during welding PPE’s is used before starting to weld i.e, welding safety goggles, hand glove, welding helmet etc.
    • Do not wear nylon or other synthetic materials as they can easily melt when contacted with sparks.
    • Wear high cut shoes so that sparks will not fall inside them.
    • Check for any inflammable material are kept away or remove from the surrounding during welding.

    Requirements

    • Trade Test 1,2,3
    • WASC/GCE/SSCE with minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience

    CCR Operator (Cement Industry)

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for plant operation and process control of the kilns, raw mills, cement mills and coal mills. Coordination, supervision and training of all other ccr operators.

    Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Executing the operation, in the shift, of Raw Mill, Kiln, Cement & Coal Mills and auxiliaries’ equipment from the Central Control Room (CCR)
    • Coaching and training of newly hired CCR operators to execute operational initiatives for increasing production and reducing cost of production.
    • Co-ordination of autonomous maintenance with the help of shift patrollers to achieve the targeted availability of plant for production of raw meal, clinker and cement.

    • Relieves other Kiln CCR operator when on leave.
    • Additional duties as assigned by the Management

    Requirements

    • B.Sc., Chemical Engineering, Dip in Cement Tech.
    • Minimum 2-4 years Cement Plant experience
