    Executive Assistant to the GMD

    Job Summary

    The Executive Assistant to the GMD will provide high-level administrative, strategic, and operational support to the Group Managing Director. The role requires exceptional organizational ability, discretion, and professionalism in managing executive priorities, facilitating communication, and representing the GMD when required.     Key Responsibilities

    Dangote Cement Plc is seeking an experienced Finance Manager – CNG, Fuel & AGO Management to oversee financial control, performance monitoring, and cost optimization across all fuel-related operations. The role covers CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) truck operations, AGO (Automotive Gas Oil/Diesel) consumption, fuel procurement, and fuel utilization activities.     Senior Architect - Finishing Works / Interior Fit-Out Completion

    Job Summary

    The role requires a senior, site-based architect with proven capability in high-end finishing works, interior fit-out, acoustic/glazed partitions, executive spaces and handover. This is not a concept-design role. The main requirement is to control finishing quality, coordinate contractor shop drawings and MEP/ELV interfaces, prevent rework, and drive floor-by-floor completion within the target 8-month delivery programme.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Design and shop drawing control

    • Review and comment on architectural, fit-out, reflected ceiling, partition, joinery, door, furniture and finish drawings. Maintain shop drawing and material submittal registers.

    Mock-ups and sample approvals

    • Coordinate sample boards, benchmark rooms, material approvals and mock-ups before mass installation.

    Site quality control

    • Conduct daily site inspections, check workmanship, tolerances and substrate readiness, reject defective works and maintain photographic records.

    Interface coordination

    Coordinate architectural finishes with MEP, ELV, AV, ICT, lighting, sprinklers, HVAC diffusers, access control and furniture.

    Programme control

    • Review finishing programmes and 2-week lookaheads, identify critical long-lead items and escalate delays affecting the 8-month target.

    Procurement support

    • Track finish materials, partition systems, doors, ironmongery, furniture, samples and factory production status.

    Snagging and handover

    • Lead floor-by-floor snagging, de-snagging, final inspection and handover acceptance.Track finish materials, partition systems, doors, ironmongery, furniture, samples and factory production status

    Reporting

    • Issue weekly architectural finishing report covering progress, quality risks, submittals, procurement risks and handover status.

    Key Requirements

    Education & Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Master's Degree in Architecture preferred.
    • A total of 12–15 years of architectural experience is required with a minimum of 8-10 years directly managing finishing works, interior fit-out or architectural completion works.
    • Member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects or equivalent international professional membership is an advantage.
    • ARCON registration or eligibility preferred for Nigeria-based practice. 
    • Strong site-based experience including inspections, mock-ups, shop drawing review, coordination meetings, snagging and handover.
    • Must have completed at least two projects above 20,000m2, or one major HQ, hotel, airport, luxury commercial or Grade A office tower project.

    Mandatory Finishing Works Experience

    Finishing package:

    • Stone, marble, tile and raised floors: Substrate readiness, setting out, levels, tolerances, joints, edge protection and completed-work protection.
    • Wall finishes and feature walls: Paint, plaster, wall covering, veneer, cladding, decorative panels, trims and special feature details.
    • Gypsum and specialist ceilings: Reflected ceiling coordination with lights, diffusers, sprinklers, speakers, access panels, cameras, sensors and maintenance access.
    • Glass and acoustic partitions: Shop drawings, head/base tracks, STC/acoustic requirements, seals, glazing, doors, ironmongery and installation tolerances.
    • Bespoke joinery and fixed furniture: Production drawings, veneers, laminates, stone tops, counters, metal trims, hardware, mock-ups and installation quality.
    • Doors and ironmongery: Timber, glass, security, fire-rated and special doors; hinges, closers, handles, locks and access-control interfaces.
    • Bathrooms and wet areas: Waterproofing, falls, tile/marble work, sanitaryware coordination, mirrors, counters, access panels and MEP access.
    • Executive spaces / auditorium / boardrooms: Acoustics, lighting, AV coordination, furniture, wall/ceiling details and presentation-quality finishes.
    • Loose furniture and FF&E: Furniture layouts, samples, delivery, placement, protection, defects and final acceptance.
    • Snagging and handover: Room-by-room inspections, defect logs, closure tracking, final cleaning and handover documentation.

    Technical Competencies

    • Expert in Architectural and interior design drawing interpretation.
    • Mandatory knowledge of the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Exel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
    • Expert in Finishing specifications and material schedules
    • Proficiency in Revit/BIM viewer, Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is preferred.
    • Expert in Shop drawing review and RFI management
    • Strong knowledge of Bluebeam/PDF markup tools is an advantage.

    Packer Operator
