    Safety Patroller

    Description

    • Monitor the compliance of safety rules and regulations by DCP employees, contractors, and sub-contractors.
    • Ensure that all individuals, including the general public, in the vicinity of DCP premises, sites, and operating locations are protected from health and safety risks.
    • Oversee the execution of work in a safe manner and in accordance with acceptable standards, minimizing risks for all individuals, property, equipment, and materials.
    • Report any near misses, unsafe acts, or unsafe conditions by employees, contractors, and subcontractors to DCP management.
    • Verify that contractors conduct daily toolbox meetings prior to commencing work.
    • Maintain all necessary fire apparatus on site in a serviceable condition and regularly inspect them.
    • When informed of non-compliance or any condition posing a serious or imminent danger to health or safety, promptly request immediate corrective action from the contractor.
    • Eliminate the risk of injury for all individuals affected by DCP operations, and prevent damage to all property and plant equipment.
    • Ensure that working methods and safety procedures are carried out in a safe and planned manner.
    • Perform any other safety-related activity assigned by the line manager.

    Requirements

    • SSCE or OND in relevant discipline.
    • Safety professional certification will be an added advantage.
    • Strong analytical skills to assess risks and recommend solutions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in emergency situations.
    • Strong attention to detail in maintaining safety standards.

    Deputy Head, HSE

    Job Overview

    • The Deputy Head HSE will assist the Head of Health, Safety, and Environment in implementing and maintaining the Health and Safety Management System across Dangote Cement’s Transport.
    • The role involves leading HSE audits, conducting risk assessments, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with national and international HSE regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
    • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a strong safety culture.
    • Lead HSE training initiatives to ensure all employees are well-informed and compliant with safety regulations.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree or relevant postgraduate certification (e.g., NEBOSH,) is an added advantage.
    • Membership in recognized professional HSE bodies (e.g., IOSH, ISPON, or equivalent).
    • Minimum of 6 years of progressive HSE experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or senior supervisory role.
    • Experience with regulatory compliance, risk management, and incident investigation in high-risk operations.
    • Strong knowledge of national and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
    • Competence in hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety audits.
    • Excellent leadership, people management, and team coordination abilities.

    CNG Maintenance Manager

    Job Overview

    • Dangote Group is seeking a talented CNG Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team at Dangote Cement Transport (DCT).
    • In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance operations of our Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems and Trucks, ensuring that all Trucks operate at peak performance and efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance activities of CNG Trucks.
    • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure minimal downtime.
    • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting to diagnose faults in CNG Trucks.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to CNG Trucks operations.
    • Manage maintenance budgets, oversee procurement of parts and materials, and maintain inventory levels.

    • Minimum of 6 years in maintenance and repair of CNG systems and heavy-duty equipment, with 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining CNG systems and vehicles; knowledge of safety protocols, inventory management, and compliance with industry standards.
    • Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and projects.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to CNG operations.
