    Project / Grant Accountant

    Job Description

    • Set and monitor sound accounting and financial reporting procedures for grant subrecipients and partners following established standards. Ensure setup and maintenance of all data required for processing financial transactions for assigned grant accounts in Insight’s financial accounting package.
    • Review and validate supporting documentation before processing of financial transactions to ensure all required documents are accurate and complete and authorizations are in place.
    • Record financial transactions following appropriate authorizations. Review and analyze various accounts to detect irregularities. Advise on corrective actions and prepare correcting entries and adjustments, as necessary.
    • Assess, evaluate and monitor subrecipient financial management processes in accordance with policy and strengthen capacity of partner in financial accounting and transactions.
    • Monitor disbursement/receipt schedules, alert relevant project staff due payments/liquidations, and maintain appropriate communication and follow-up to facilitate timeliness of financial resource management and compliance with set deadlines.
    • Prepare various periodic and ad hoc financial reports and perform variance analysis to assist project staff with decision-making. Assist with budget maintenance for proper management of financial resources.
    • Provide information to project staff, subrecipients, and partners on financial accounting policies and procedural compliance issues and deliver training and other capacity building activities.
    • Perform assigned treasury project (cash payment/receipt, cash forecast, etc.) duties, as long as segregation of duties is ensured.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in relevant fields with 5 - 9 years work experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Excellent analytical skills with ability to detect and report inconsistencies
    • Conscientious, accurate and thorough with great attention to detail
    • Ethical conduct in accordance with recognized professional and organizational codes of ethics

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of the relevant public donor regulations preferred.
    • Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), Web Conferencing Applications. Knowledge of Insight financial accounting package or similar financial reporting software preferred.

    Required Languages:

    • Working proficiency in English required; French also preferred.

    Travel:

    • Could be required to travel for internal orientation and training meetings

    Program Manager II

    Job Description

    • Provide management, guidance, and technical oversight of all new and existing projects within theWest Africa region focused on large-scale food fortification throughout the project cycle to ensure project design, start-up, implementation, and close-out are in line with CRS quality principles and standards, donor guidelines, and industry best practices.
    • Effectively manage talent for the LSFF Technical Team anddirectlysupervise six team members, including four Technical Advisors and two grant management support staff. Manage team dynamics and staff well- being.Provide coaching, strategically tailor individual development plans, and complete performance management for direct reports.
    • Lead the development of program learning - identify opportunities for learning, research and publications in the area of LSFF and implementation of MEAL policy. Facilitate the dissemination of promising practices and lessons learned to contribute to the agency knowledge management agenda. Ensure integration of innovations and best practices.
    • Contribute to the proactive pursuit of opportunities for new funding to ensure growth of theLSFF-Nutrition sector portfolio in line with agency, regional and CP Nutrition strategic priorities. Serve as the technical lead and technical writer to ensure quality proposals are submitted as per agency and donor standards. Contribute to budgeting and staffing plans and activities for proposals.
    • Oversee LSFF technical assistance and capacity strengthening activities for staff and partner organizations to enhance program quality and impact.
    • Oversee the identification, assessment and strengthening of partnerships relevant to LSFF and the appropriate application of partnership concepts, tools and approaches.
    • Ensure timely and appropriate project expenditures in line with financial plans and efficient use and stewardship of project material sources.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Good experience in project grants management, including project design, preferably for grants from multiple public donors, including USAID.
    • Demonstrated ability to write high quality technical proposals.
    • Experience engaging with partner organizations
    • MEAL skills and experience required.
    • Staff management experience and abilities that are conducive to a learning environment.
    • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information management systems.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make sound judgment and decisions and offer innovative solutions
    • Strong relations management abilities. Ability to relate to people at all levels internally and externally. Strategic in how you approach each relationship.
    • Good presentation and facilitation skills
    • Proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented and results-oriented
    • Experience in multistakeholder public private partnership coordination with diplomacy, tact, and gravitas

    Required Languages:

    • English and French

    Travel:

    • Must be willing and able to travel up to 30%, largely within West Afric
