    Electrical Lead

    Contract Duration: Fixed-term contract TBC

    Work Location: Port-Hacourt, Nigeria

    Target Start date: ASAP

    Mission

    • Lead the Electrical Engineering activities in accordance with Project requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards. Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise the exchange of information
    • Contribute to the capitalization of Project experience in order to improve and harmonize work methodologies through continuous improvement and best practices
    • Implement Company guidelines and KPI monitoring within the Project

    Responsibilities

    • The PSL ensures the execution of the engineering activities within own area of responsibility, works following the TM guidelines, cooperates with the other Project positions and ensures the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements.
    • Tasks include: A-Development of Technology know how and Commercial support B-Feasibility
    • Provide technical support to other Project positions for specialist aspects C-Bidding phase/Commercial proposal Analyse and understand Tender documentation
    • Define Discipline list of activities and deliverables and coordinate activities in accordance with Project schedule Identify technical queries, deviations and alternatives to be submitted
    • Implement bidding methodologies, design criteria and guidelines
    • Define and issue Request for quotation and relevant Technical Bid Tabulation for not estimated in-house items
    • Coordinate material quantities and weight estimation
    • Prepare engineering man-hour and material cost estimations
    • Support the Proposal Manager during technical clarification meetings with the Client D-Project Execution
    • Ensure the achievement of the assigned goal and the fulfilment of the Project quality and contractual requirements. Take the necessary corrective actions within the Discipline Project Team to meet the assigned goal. Report to the TM for more extensive problems
    • Define list of activities and deliverables, setup time schedule, coordinate activities in accordance with contractual requirements
    • Ensure Discipline Project progress, monitor and control man-hour consumption
    • Prepare technical annexes for engineering activities to be subcontracted
    • Ensure subcontractor coordination and monitoring/reporting to PM of the Discipline budget costs
    • Ensure proper Discipline workflow, interfaces, quality checks and approval of all Discipline Project documents, including Vendor ones
    • Track and report to TM Discipline scope of work changes updating man-hour and cost estimates
    • Provide technical support to Project functions including Procurement and Construction
    • Support PM in technical interfacing with the Client (according to TM) Define and issue Purchase Requisitions
    • Ensure Technical Bid Evaluations
    • Ensure Vendor follow-up activities
    • Provide technical support for the definition of the Discipline construction inspection plan

    Offshore Structural Lead

    Contract Duration: TBC

    Role Description

    Lead the Offshore Structure Engineering team in performing structural design activities according to Project needs and requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards.

    Mission

    • Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise in/out information flow

    • Maintain and develop technical skills, expertise, knowledge, procedures and tools as required for proposals and project execution

    • Ensure the capitalization of Project experience in order to improve and harmonize work methodologies

    Tasks

    In the case of call for tender:

    • Analyze the complete scope of work and clearly identify objectives of the discipline and internal/external interfaces

    • Analyze the technical documents (specifications, calculation notes, drawings, etc.) in order to assess the scope of the studies required and the potential risks

    • Set up and issue the necessary clarification requests during the proposal phase as well as the qualifications included in the bid

    • Seek as far as possible solutions which can improve overall competitiveness

    • Estimate quantities or validate estimation done by other specialists of the team

    • Estimate the budget required for the studies completion

    • Set up the schedule of the execution studies and the associated plan for resources mobilization

    In the case of project execution:

    • Analyze the complete scope of work and clearly identifies objectives of the discipline and internal/external interfaces

    • Analyse the project technical documents in order to validate consistency between the budget, resources and means allocated for the work completion and the targets to be met

    • Make the Technical Manager aware of the modifications or anticipated difficulties for meeting Client requirements

    • Identify project hot spots, criticalities and activity priorities

    • Organize the work of the team and write the project procedures for the execution and control of the structural studies

    • Define and follow-up the planning of resources mobilization

    • Prepare Project Design Premises

    • Write or supervise the writing of the Structural Design Brief (the technical roadmap for the discipline engineering activities)

    • Coordinate the engineering activities of the team members throughout the project with a permanent focus on optimization of quality, costs and schedule criteria

    • Manage the different interfaces by coordinating the activities of the team with all the other stakeholders on the project (other engineering disciplines, project team, working sites, construction, installation etc.)

    • Control the input data for the team activities and check/review all the documents issued by the team

    • Supervise the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluations

    • Inform on a permanent basis the Technical Manager and if required the Project Manager of any foreseen technical or financial or delay risk

    • Deal with Third Party Authority when the certification process of offshore structure design is required

    • Deal with Marine Warranty Surveyor in the ambit of the surveying process of marine operations
    • Provide weight and cog data to weight control engineer

    Mission

    • Represent company towards Clients, Licensors, Partners and Subcontractors managing also contractual aspects
    • Ensure the proper contract analysis and the review of contractual documents
    • Ensure the implementation of methodologies related to risk and knowledge management and to company Golden and Silver Rules
    • Supervise the economic and financial tasks by defining the most appropriate methodology to be applied to produce the
    • project economic indicators of Feasibility
    • Organize and hold the project kick-off meeting

    • Manage the post-bid clarification phase with the Client
    • Negotiate with Client to reach agreement on the outstanding pricing, commercial, contractual and technical aspects of the
    • proposal and of the variation orders
    • Ensure the handover between Commercial and Execution Phase of the project
    • Supervise home office engineering and procurement activities supported by the other project organisation roles
    • Supervise site/yard and offshore activities
    • Supervise all project activities with regards to quality and HSE topics, supported by the other project organisation roles
    • Ensure the issue of project reports
    • Ensure the collection of project feedbacks issuing final project reports (e.g. Cost Closure Report, Close-out Report, etc.)
    • Ensure Client assistance during the guarantee period
