    Manager PS & CS VAS

    Manage the operationand maintenance of Circuit Switching (CS) VAS systems and provide high levelsupport functions on CS VAS equipment.

    Principal Functions        

    Tactical

    • Assist the Head, Core and VAS Operations in communicating the unit's direction and objectives to all staff.
    • Keep abreast of global and local best practice as it relates to the team/ function's activities.
    • Assist in continuously reviewing the unit's activities, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved improvement initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team.
    •  Assist in identifying required resources, personnel and funding to achieve the unit/ function's strategy.
    • Establish and manage service levels with key internal and external stakeholders.

    Operational

    • Lead the CS VAS Operations team to ensure the optimal performance, operation and maintenance of EMTS's circuit switching systems and VAS nodes.
    • Liaise with vendors to commission, integrate and perform system acceptance testing (SAT) for VAS elements on EMTS's network.
    • Troubleshoot circuit switching VAS network nodes such as Voicemail, USSD, IVR, ring back tone, etc, as required to prevent, isolate and resolve network faults. 
    • Ensure adherence to a proactive maintenance cycle on all VAS circuit switching systems
    • Ensure the timely resolutions of faults in CS VAS systems and monitor system repair, service and upgrades.
    • Refine operating processes, systems and platforms to facilitate continuous improvement and ensure network operations meet operational delivery requirements.
    • Review recommendations of the internal audit function relating to CS VAS system policies, standards, guidelines and operations and take action as required.
    • Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinate's performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives. 
    • Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head, Core and VAS Operations.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head, Core and VAS Operations.

    Educational Requirements        

    • First degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering   
    • Six (6) to Eight (8) years work experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role

    Senior Engineer IP Backbone

    • Provide necessary technical supporttowards IP/MPLS backbone, IP RAN, Internet, Gateway, International PeeringSolution and Enterprise Solutions to meet specific business requirements
    • Support IP/ MPLS Backbone Network,Technologies such as MPLS Core, MP-BGP, VPNs, VPLS, L3VPN,MPLS, Fast Rerouting,VRRP, BFD etc. 
    • Principal Functions        
    • Manage complex transformationInternational Networks peering and traffic engineering
    • IP Routing Experience: OSPF, BGP, andBGP policing, Route reflectors and Confederations, Multi-homing solutions
    • Review the detailed network designsand network configurations of the Network Engineering group to ensureconsistency with the architecture, as well as gain insight into how to optimizearchitecture after real-world application.
    • Support & manage all internetgateway routers, Public IP, and other Internet Solution to meet specificbusiness requirements
    • Technical knowledge of GSM/LTEenvironment and interaction of IP system with CS core, PS core, VAS,Interconnect and carrier services
    • Review all changes to networkconfiguration for technical accuracy and impact, and provide multi-protocolnetwork problem resolutions.
    • Maintain the integrity ofconfiguration database and record systems and ensure IP/MPLS/Internet andnetwork security integrity documentations are updated regularly.
    • Responsible for end to end IPintegrations for new equipment, Core switching equipment, VAS nodes, Mediagateway, and GGSN /SGSN gateways nodes and interconnect nodes into IP network
    • Monitor and ensure vendors' adherenceto contractual SLAs (vendor management).
    • Conduct weekly & monthly networkperformance monitoring, trend analyses, capacity planning and expansion in linewith network growth trends and increases in traffic
    • Ensure that approved IP optimizationtasks are executed according to schedule and with minimal distortion to service
    • Consistently refine operatingprocesses, systems and platforms to facilitate continuous improvement andensure network operations meet operational delivery requirements
    • Manage inter-functional relations toensure synergy across the various departmental functions
    • Perform periodic network audit andnetwork performance improvement measures
    • Recommends network operationalimprovement measures
    • Develop IP network operationalstrategy document
    • Ensure best practice operationalprocedure
    • Review, approves operationalinstructions / method of procedures
    • Lead the troubleshooting of faults,enforce preventive maintenance methodology
    • Perform any other duties as assignedby the line Manager, IP and Enterprise Operations.

    Educational Requirements        

    • First degree in Electrical/ElectronicEngineering or a related light current field
    • Three(3) to Five (5) years post NYSCrelevant work experience.
    • Experience in IP/MPLS networks andtechnologies in multi-service environments
    • Experience with IP, IPv6, Ethernet,MPLS BGP VPN, VPLS, VLL and IP Service Edge deployment and operation. Goodunderstanding of IP/MPLS and evolution towards an IP/NGN based technology.
    • Clear understanding of the followingprotocols: MP-BGP, VPNs, VPLS, L3VPN, Fast  Rerouting, VRRP, BFD OSPF, IS-IS, BGP,MP-BGP QOS, NAT, IP routing andswitching.
    • Hands-on experience with Huawei, Ciscoand Nokia IP nodes.
    • Experience with Juniper nodes isdesired.
    • Excellent working knowledge of Cisco,Juniper, Huawei and Nokia (Alcatel) routers and switches.
    • Advanced QOS experience especiallypertaining to VoIP and DOS
    • Familiarity with any object-orientedprogramming language (Python, C++, etc.).
    • Network automation and scriptingskills.
    • Cisco CCNP certification or equivalentin other DATACOM vendors listed above.
    • Good understanding of mobiletelecommunication network
    • Advanced working skills on Microsoftoffice suite.
    • Excellent presentation skills.

    Manager.Legal Services(Contracts and Advisory)

    • Serves as apoint of legal advice on local and international commercial contracts.
    • Liaises withrelevant departments and divisions to draft, review and or interpretcontractual agreements, ensure that contracts entered by EMTS are consistentwith corporate and governmental laws, rules and regulations

    Principal Functions        

    Tactical

    • Advise EMTS onlegal matters relating to corporate and project finance contracts and assistdepartments in the closure of financial transactions to the best interest of EMTS.
    • Keep abreastof global and local best practice as it relates to the unit's activities.
    • Continuouslyassist in reviewing the unit/team's activities, make recommendations forimprovement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performanceof the team.
    • Assist inidentifying required resources, personnel and funding to achieve the unit/function's strategy.
    • Establish andmaintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

    Operational

    • Liaise withindividual departments & divisions and provide advice on legal issuesarising from contracts.
    • Review and vetcontracts and legal agreements including memoranda of understanding (MoUs) oragreement (MoAs), letters of intent and other related documents.
    • Research andproffer opinion on any legal inquiries or issues of a contractual naturearising out of the interpretation and application of contracts and agreements.
    • Ensure thatterms and conditions setout in contractual documentation are legally valid, consistentwith EMTS's policies, rules and regulations, and are in the organization's bestinterest.
    • Coordinatewith tender committees and concerned departments/divisions in drafting andfinalizing tender documentation. Provide legal assistance to tender committeesin tender amendment, tender process management, contract negotiation andfinalization.
    • Provideassistance in litigation by or against contractors or other parties arising outof contracts, agreements, or similar documentation.
    • Ensure the setup and maintenance of a database of all contractual documents and related legaldocumentation.
    • Ensure safecustody of all tenders and contracts.
    • Assist inimplementing the unit's work programs and plans in line with agreed uponprocedures and guidelines.
    • Assist inplanning and managing the human and material resources of the unit to optimizeperformance, morale and enhance productivity.
    • Manageinter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmentalfunctions.
    • Provideleadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates' performancetowards the achievement of overall team objectives.
    • Ensureadequate training and development is delivered to employees in the Contract andTender review and management processes.
    • Monitor andcontrol the budgetary needs of the unit/function.
    • Prepare/compileagreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Head, Legal & Company SecretariatServices
    • Perform anyother duties as assigned by the Head, Legal & Company Secretariat Services

    Educational Requirements        

    • First degree in Law.
    • Postgraduate/professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.

    • Minimum of Six (6) years relevant work experience with at least three(3)years in a supervisory role.
