Job Summary

• Our client is seeking a Junior Gas Operator to assist in operating, monitoring, and maintaining gas generator sets (gensets) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power generation.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with gas gensets and a strong focus on safety, compliance, and plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor gas gensets in line with SOPs and load requirements.
• Record and track key operating parameters such as voltage, load, frequency, and pressure.
• Conduct daily checks on oil, coolant, filters, and gas pressure.
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Identify and report alarms, abnormal conditions, or trips promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including PPE usage and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping around the genset and plant area.
• Assist in maintaining daily logs, breakdown reports, and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with supervisors on any operational or technical issues.

Requirements

• ND / HND / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in gas genset operations (e.g., Jenbacher, MWM, Caterpillar).
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Safety-conscious with strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts and follow plant safety rules.

Salary
N150,000 – N170,000 monthly.

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Import Officer to manage and coordinate all import processes.
• The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with import regulations, oversee timely clearance of consignments, and liaise with internal teams, clearing agents, and regulatory authorities to guarantee smooth shipment operations.

Responsibilities

• Verify Proforma Invoices received from suppliers for proper HS codes, duty, and VAT rates.
• Coordinate with the banking team for Form M opening and follow up on PAAR processing.
• Review and validate shipping documents to ensure accuracy with Form M requirements.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of import shipments for tracking and reporting.
• Monitor and track all import consignments to ensure timely clearance.
• Work with clearing agents to obtain assessment notices and original shipping documents before consignment arrival.
• Share shipping documents with clearing agents for clearance and follow up for prompt delivery to the warehouse/factory.
• Process payments for customs duties, taxes, shipping, and terminal charges; liaise with finance for timely disbursements.
• Coordinate with transporters and warehouse teams for container offloading and deliveries.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., NAFDAC) to facilitate clearance of shipments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of experience in importation and port operations.
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance and regulations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong team player with problem-solving skills.
