About the Program

What You'll Do

• As a Trainee, you will be an integral part of engineering projects, ensuring their successful completion and maintenance. Throughout the program, you will receive hands-on training in maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing generator systems.
• Your responsibilities will extend to installing new generator systems and providing preventive maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair generator systems.
• Install new generator systems and provide preventive maintenance services.
• Develop proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
• Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose diesel equipment problems.
• Perform repairs, reconditioning, and servicing heavy equipment and components.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE, OND, BSc, HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Residence in Kaduna.
• Ability to work onsite full-time.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication skills (oral and written).

Job Responsibilities

• Operate diesel generators of 5kva and above.
• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel generators, checking for worn parts and leaks.
• Monitor generator operations and diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as lubricating moving parts, changing filters, and replacing fluids.
• Repair or replace defective components, such as spark plugs, alternators, fuel injectors, and starters.
• Test generator systems to ensure proper operation.
• Calibrate and adjust generator components for optimal performance.
• Check for signs of wear and tear on generator parts.
• Identify any safety hazards with the generator system.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel generators whenever a fault occurs.
• Responsible for top or complete overhauling of Diesel Generator.
• Ensure the wiring and electrical components are up to code and work efficiently and safely.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE, OND, BSc, HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Residence in Kaduna.
• Minimum of 2 years cognate experience as a Generator Maintenance Officer.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy is an added advantage.

Job Description

• Safely convey staff to different locations.
• Adhere to traffic laws and ensure a smooth and secure driving experience.
• Maintain the cleanliness and regular maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as an Accountant.
• Excellent attention to details.
• Proficient in accounting software and principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
