JOB SUMMARY
The Planning Team Lead is the senior leader responsible for all maintenance planning and scheduling on the FPSO (topside, hull, and marine systems). The role combines:
- Team leadership of a multidisciplinary group of planners (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and third-party activities)
- Strategic planning & scheduling (preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance)
- CMMS ownership (mainly SAP PM)
- Performance analytics & KPI reporting (using Excel dashboards and Power BI)
- Full HSE, regulatory, and client compliance
It is a hands-on leadership role that sits between operations, maintenance execution, and the client, ensuring work is properly planned, resourced, safe, and delivered on time while meeting strict offshore standards
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a multidisciplinary team of planners covering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and third-party maintenance activities.
- Set team objectives, conduct performance reviews, and drive a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary interface between the planning team, operations, maintenance execution, and the client representative.
- Chair daily, weekly, and monthly planning coordination meetings; produce and distribute meeting minutes and action trackers.
- Ensure workload is balanced across the team, providing guidance and resolving planning conflicts proactively.
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and optimise the Master Maintenance Schedule for all FPSO topside, hull, and marine systems, covering preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and condition-based maintenance.
- Prepare and approve detailed Work Packages, including job scope, task breakdowns, resource requirements, material lists, safety isolations, and method statements, in compliance with FPSO operator standards.
- Ensure PM plans are aligned with OEM recommendations, class society requirements, and regulatory inspection schedules (flag state, OCIMF, SIRE).
- Coordinate long-term planning horizons (90-day, 6-month, annual) with short-term weekly and daily schedule management.
- Prioritise work orders in accordance with criticality rankings and asset reliability needs, escalating any conflicts to the Maintenance Manager.
- Manage and coordinate planned shutdown windows and full-field shutdown (FFSD) preparation, including critical path development.
CMMS Administration & Data Governance
- Own and administer the CMMS (SAP PM or equivalent) for all planning-related functions: work order creation, scheduling, notifications, equipment history, and backlog management.
- Enforce data quality standards within the CMMS; ensure all completed work orders are closed with accurate feedback, labour hours, materials consumed, and failure codes.
- Audit CMMS data regularly to identify gaps, orphan notifications, overdue PM orders, and incorrect functional locations.
- Drive the development and optimisation of PM task lists, maintenance strategies, and equipment hierarchies within the CMMS.
- Interface with the document control team to ensure all procedures, work instructions, and technical drawings referenced in work packages are current and version-controlled.
Analytics, KPI Management & Reporting
- Define, track, analyse, and report on key maintenance performance indicators, including:
- Schedule Compliance (weekly PM and CM execution vs. plan)
- Backlog Management (overdue PMs, open CMs by age and priority)
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) by equipment class
- Planned vs. Unplanned Maintenance Ratio
- Maintenance Cost per Discipline vs. budget
- Work Order Cycle Time (notification to close-out)
- Build and maintain dynamic Excel dashboards and Power BI reports to visualise maintenance performance trends for management, clients, and contract reviews.
- Conduct monthly performance analysis and present findings with root cause commentary and corrective action plans.
- Support annual budget preparation by providing detailed maintenance workload forecasts, manpower estimates, and material cost projections.
- Deliver ad-hoc analytical reports as requested by the client or Maintenance Manager, using data drawn from SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all maintenance plans and work packages comply with applicable offshore regulations, including NUPRC requirements, flag state regulations, OCIMF SIRE, ISM Code, and client HSSE standards.
- Ensure timely scheduling and tracking of safety-critical maintenance (SCM) items, safety valve testing, deluge system verification, and emergency system proof tests.
- Verify that all work packages include appropriate risk assessments, PTW (Permit to Work) references, LOTO plans, and method statements before execution.
- Maintain a live tracker of certification expiry dates for lifting equipment, pressure vessels, safety valves, life-saving appliances, and fire and gas detectors.
- Participate in internal and client HSE audits; implement corrective actions related to the planning function within agreed timescales.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the planning function’s representative in all client progress meetings, presenting schedule status, KPI performance, and backlog management updates clearly and confidently.
- Translate complex maintenance data into clear, executive-level summaries for monthly contract review meetings.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain to ensure materials and spare parts are available ahead of planned maintenance windows; escalate critical spares shortages immediately.
- Liaise with third-party contractors and OEM service providers on scope, mobilisation timelines, and progress reporting
EDUCATIONAL & JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas maintenance planning, with at least 5 years in an FPSO or offshore floating production environment.
- Proven experience leading a planning team of 4 or more planners across multiple disciplines.
- Expert user of a CMMS platform (SAP PM strongly preferred); able to configure, audit, and train others on the system.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for maintenance performance reporting and dashboard development.
- Solid understanding of FPSO maintenance scopes: topside process equipment, rotating machinery, electrical systems, instrumentation, marine systems, lifting equipment, and hull integrity.
- Familiarity with offshore regulatory frameworks: NUPRC, flag state, ISM Code, OCIMF, SIRE, and class society requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field
- Master’s degree in related field
- Membership of a related professional body e.g. CIPM, PHRI, SHRM etc
- Minimum of 10years HR experience. 6+ years in talent management, performance management, Learning & Development, or Organizational Design roles
- Experience supporting technical or operational workforces(energy, industrial, or services preferred industries)

JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will report to the General Manager, Power and Drives Division, and will manage the Power Generation Services business of the Group. He is expected to have a strong understanding of the clientele base of the Power Generation Industry with their respective Turbomachinery Assets. A keen knowledge of GE Heavy Frame Gas Turbines with strong sales and service experience is an added advantage. The candidate will manage the sales pipeline, identify new opportunities cross-functionally with the Customer Relationship Executives. Capable of using the ERRC Grid Model as an effective sales management tool. Other ERP software experience is a clincher. Will also be the Account Manager of the Group’s OEM in charge of turbomachinery aftermarket sales/services. A strong negotiation and presentation skill is a success matrix for this role. Summarily, he/she will drive technical sales of turbomachinery aftermarket sales/services for the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and Expand Existing Power Generation Account Business
- Maximize Cross-Selling, Re-Selling Opportunities across the division
- Responsible for the Quick Sales Intelligence (QSI) management and driving to actualize the set sales target or Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Ensure coordination of the OEM’s weekly alignment meetings
- Responsible for creating the Project Identification Note (PIN) for identified leads and projects as a guide for business decision making
- In charge of strategic local partnerships for the Power generation business by creating the respective Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Partnership Onboarding Plan (POP) for any potential local partnerships
- Will be responsible for building the quote and proposal for the Power generation business with keen understanding of respective mark-up structure to maximize business profitability
- Will be responsible for customer/client meetings and make virtual and live presentations based on the recipient’s request.
- Create a Sales Lifetime Value (SLV) of at least 2 Customers in a year through structured contract service agreements and aftermarket sales/services support.
- Will be involved in asset management audits and inspections in customer power plants
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrument/Controls or Power Engineering
- A trained Certification (by any Equipment OEM or Recognized Training Institute) is an advantage
- 10 – 15 years’ experience in power plant sales and operations especially with the gas turbines and auxiliaries, with at least 3 – 5 years’ experience as a lead, supervisor or manager
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and at least two (2) of the ERP Sales Software (e.g. Mondays.com, Sales Force, Oracle E-Business, SAP, CMMS etc.)
- Expertise in Energy Management Softwares (EMS) and Root Cause Analysis is an added advantage
- Good Organizational and Synergistic Skills.
