    Senior Supervision (Operations/Maintenance/Asset Integrity) Services Forcados Terminal

    Experience

    • Must have significant experience with hands-on or supervisory competence in Operations/maintenance or asset integrity discipline experience from previous work in the Oil & Gas Industry in Nigeria (Min 10 years). Must have demonstrated significant experience in terminal operations.

    Technical Skills

    The purpose of the Operations line support is to assist in the development and competence assurance of Production personnel working on SPDC assets (operations, maintenance, and inspection). This role will be active in the implementation and continual improvement of Capability support for safe and reliable operations. The Operations line support will provide training and competence development support and assessment. They will also co-ordinate the training and assessment schedule for Operations Technicians, Contractors, and Trainees.

    Specifically, he/she will:

    Implement worksite-based learning programs for all field-based technicians:

    • Identify training needs and learning opportunities using previous experience and self or assessor led gap analysis and develop an individual plan to address competency gaps.
    • Encourage a focus on learning to look for and make proper use of technical information, applying engineering knowledge and following proper procedures to complete a task safely and efficiently.
    • Prepare activity plan of practical learning for personnel by securing routine and ad hoc work activities from production site supervisors/planners.
    • Ensure that practical learning events are aligned with the new Competence Development Toolkit recommendations as they become available.
    • Support the design and use of Competence Development Toolkits as they become available for each discipline.

    Support compliance with SPDC Competence Assurance requirements and Shell group FLBM (Frontline Barrier Management) standards:

    • Support the terminal in ensuring that FLBM elements and other HSSE certifications for staff on HSSE critical role are assessed, tracked and validity maintained.
    • Ensure any local Assessment portfolios are kept up to date, as per the Production Unit requirements.
    • Support terminal assets in their compliance with OPITO Competence Assurance manual.
    • Identify formal training requirements of technicians in line with the existing competence development strategy in SPDC and taken as input into L&D plans

    Field Operations Supervision Services (Field Operator/Control Room Operator (CRO)) – Tunu Node

    Academics HND/OND/WAEC or Equivalent (Minimum)

    Age Not more 60yrs

    Key Skills & Experiences

    • 3 to 8yrs hands-on experience in CRO/field production operations in a reputable oil and gascompany.
    • Ability to work with a multi-discipline production team.
    • Basic understanding of Process Flow Diagram.
    • Good working knowledge of PTW system, AMS and HSE procedures e.g 9 LSR/IOGP, PSF & 3 Golden

    Rules

    Experience in SPDC Field Location (Tunu Node) will be add advantage.

    Skills (added advantage)

    • Facility safety enforcement including Risk identification/mitigation, work crew communication and buddy system
    • knowledge in safe work practices and use of SOPs, MOPO and IOGs
    • Flow station and Gas plant operations including Well testing, Crude sampling, pressures monitoring, daily FLM, APM, OPS -WIT, Facility start-up, stabilization, monitoring, controlling and shutdown.
    • Deep knowledge of wellhead systems (installation/retrieval of modified COM-unit, CCU, completion and testing/troubleshooting of various components and accessories)
    • Experience in operations of field Control and safeguarding systems (pneumatic, hydraulic and
    • electronic) including sensors, transmitters, actuators and valves.
    • Knowledge in fluid dynamics and mechanics.
    • Knowledge of hydrocarbon fluid flow, compression and transfer to export
    • Competent to Work in AGG plant within Tunu node fields (OGBOTOBO, TUNU, KANBO, AGBAYA, OPUKUSHI, BENISEDE, SEIBOU, AJATITON, DODO NORTH, AKONO, OPOMOYO)
    • Ability to interface with other outstations in TUNU node for export of gas to Tunu CPF/ receive buyback gas/line packing for station use is an added advantage.
    • Good knowledge of chemical storage and management e.g Phasetreat, Corrosion inhibitors, Biocide, MEG with use of SHOC cards.
    • Basic knowledge of gas dehydration system specifically Twister system.
    • Ability to use Emerson delta-V DCS to manage monitoring and reporting of abnormal flowline pressures for security team quick intervention to prevent wellhead/flowline vandalization within TUNU node is an added advantage.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Operator of flow station, gas stations and associated assets in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with stipulated guidelines.
    • Coach, Develop and Lead a team of Technicians in Field operations
    • Manage day-to-day production operations field activities and manage safety and environmental issues.
    • Monitor, control and record production rates and performance.
    • Assess Risk of daily Jobs and Escalate, when necessary, to Team Leaders
    • Start-up wells and facilities (hot and cold start).
    • Perform basic troubleshooting on wells and facilities to ensure stability.
    • Prepare the wells and facilities/equipment for (re) commencement of production/processing.
    • Perform routine well test, bean/choke changeout and sampling of producing wells.
    • Measure, validate and report production volumes accurately
    • Carryout ad-hoc annulus pressure monitoring of all wells in the production unit.
    • Perform periodic well integrity assurance tasks and activities (both well’s flow-wetted and non-flowwetted components)

    Academics A higher qualification (Bachelors/HND/OND/IVQ LEVEL-5)
    Age < 55 years.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5 to12 years working as a field operations support, technician or permit coordinator in an oil and gas producing field location.
    • Asset Management and Logistics support Experience in SPDC.

    • Mechanical maintenance field supervisor should have capacity to provide operations with engineering support to troubleshoot all rotating & static equipment problems and provide detailed analysis and recommendation to these problems.
    • Mechanical maintenance field supervisor should have basic knowledge/ skill in pump alignment, rotor balancing, clearance checks, machining operation, material selection, etc.
    • PACO field supervisor must have competence in General instrumentation and 2 out of the following areas: DeltaV DCS/SIS engineering and maintenance; Allen Bradley Systems engineering and maintenance; Foxboro Systems engineering and maintenance.
