    Desk Nurse

    Job duties and responsibilities:

    • Answers the telephone in a timely manner, assists or directs the caller to the appropriate person or department.
    • Receives and updates patient information.
    • Maintains files in the appropriate order.
    • Establishes and maintains accurate patient records and record filing system.
    • Accurately completes the registration process in the current computer system.
    • Verifies patient’s insurance benefits.
    • Processes pre-certifications/authorizations depending on the special requirements of the patient’s insurance company.
    • Schedules appointments considering patient needs and utilizing the clinic time efficiently.
    • Confirms appointments and maintains a full department schedule.
    • Communicates any scheduling problems to the Department Manager.
    • Receives cash, checks, and credit card payments and prepares receipts.
    • Distributes mail to clinical staff.
    • Processes requests for release of information in accordance with the policies set forth by the Medical Record Department.

    Requirements and skills

    • Experience as a nurse in an HMO
    • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
    • Excellent knowledge of emergency care
    • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
    • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Responsible and compassionate
    • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
    • BSc or other diploma from a nursing program
    • Nursing license is an advantage
    • Good computer skills, especially data entry

    Cleaning Supervisor

    • Establishment of cleaning standards and procedures for workers and ensure adherence to these standards and procedures.
    • Coaching and developing employees (cleaners)
    • Scheduling and assigning specific duties/roles to cleaners and ensuring that they are carried out expertly.
    • Inspection of cleaning equipment on a regular basis to know when they are worn-out and also request for replacement.
    • Controlling and monitoring the usage of cleaning materials to avoid or minimize waste and/or misuse.
    • Providing any form of required assistance to cleaners while they carry out their duties.

    Requirements

    • Must possess excellent communication skills in speaking, writing, and even in listening.
    • Must have good interpersonal attributes. That is to say, the supervisor must be someone that gets along easily with people (easily approachable)
    • Must be outstanding when it comes to organization and coordination of both humans and their activities.
    • Must display a high level of integrity since he/she may be in a position to take care of people’s personal belongings.
    • Excellent decision-making ability is a must-have.
    • Must be proactive in the line of duty.
    • Must have the ability and willingness to work as part of a team, and most importantly, lead a team.
    • Should have a clear understanding of customer service guidelines/principles.
    • Must have relevant experience in cleaning and supervision of cleaning procedures.
    • A basic degree in any hospitality-related field is also required.
