    FFSD Vessel Superintendent

    Job description

    • A Ship Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day to day technical and operational issues pertaining to the assigned vessels.
    • He / She will report to the Project Manager.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for safety of life at sea, vessel and cargo for fleet assigned.
    • Critical role in Emergency Response Organization responding to any vessel casualty to ensure preservation of life and to maximum extent vessel and cargo under crisis conditions.
    • On call 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, to respond to assigned vessel casualties or other emergencies.
    • Supervise all vessel staff assigned to their vessels.
    • Supervise all technical management activities for assigned vessels.
    • Act as primary point of contact for customer (Technical Organization).
    • Responsible for assigned vessel performance metrics including budget, operating costs, reliability, and planning.
    • Responsible for Regulatory compliance on assigned vessels including Safety and Environmental Protection, Domestic and International Law, Regulation Policies, Procedures.
    • Where applicable comply with Nigerian laws or other agency rules, regulations, policies or requirements.
    • Performs other position related duties as specified by management

    Profile

    • Full Field Shutdown Experience mandatory 
    • Three years shipyard or ship management experience or equivalency.
    • B.S. from an accredited institution, degree in marine transportation, marine engineering or equivalent time / experience at sea is required.
    • Advanced degree from an accredited institution in business, engineering or equivalent discipline is preferred
    • Computer literacy in PC and systems
    • Excellent interpersonal skills required for conducting day to day business.
    • Vessel management experience.

    • SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for an Admin Interns to join its work force in Port Harcourt and in Lagos.

    Responsibilities:

    Recruitment:

    •  Assist in head hunting and matching up of candidates as per client’s requirements.
    •  Formatting CVs into the right formats (either SPIE format or client-imposed format)
    • Maintain and update company databases
    • Prepare reports and presentations when needed
      Profile
      Undergraduate in any of the Admin & Engineering Disciplines : (Electrical/Instrument/Mechanical Engineer)

    Administrative:

    • Respond to mail enquiries from personnels
    • Collation of Time sheet for documentation of personnels
    • Schedule personnel for trainings (Medical, Trainings etc.)
    • Provide support to the personnel on client’s side.
    • Any other task assigned by the Technical Assistance Deputy Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Under the supervision of the Tendering coordinator and Commercial Manager, support in reviewing and preparing bids and tender documentation

    Profile

    • Undergraduate in any of the Engineering Disciplines : (Electrical/Instrument/Mechanical Engineer)

    Strong knowlegde in Excel

    • Comfortable with the Microsoft Suits.
    • Fluent in English.
    • Punctuality.
    • Good communication skill.
    • Adaptability and flexibility.
    • Proven work experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator or similar role
    • Solid knowledge of office procedures
    • Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
    • Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • High school diploma; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus
    • Must reside or be willing to relocate in Port Harcourt 
    • Must reside or be willing to relocate in Lagos
