    Maintenance Manager - Mechanical

    Job Responsibilities

    • Plan and organize preventive maintenance of the relevant machines to ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
    • Ensure reduction of downtime to the barest minimum to prevent loss due to machine downtime.
    • Plan and order spare parts and tools for maintenance work to avoid delay due to material availability.
    • Document maintenance records for analysis and future reference.
    • Technical Training and development of technical subordinates to improve performance.
    • Control usage of materials and tools for optimal efficiency of machines.
    • Vet and recommend contract awards for 3rd party maintenance services to ensure compliance to specification.
    • Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out and lead the team to deliver effectively at the same time ensuring equipment availability.
    • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
    • Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
    • Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
    • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
    • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
    • Optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems are undertaken.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Professional certification (e.g., NSE, COREN) is an added advantage or in progress.
    • At least 10 years of cognate experience from FMCG companies or Feedmill industries or Poultry.

    Key Skills and Competences:

    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Pay keen attention to details and be highly organized.
    • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Have excellent time management and prioritization skills.

    Accountant

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and sub-ledgers (e.g., receivables, payables, fixed assets, payroll).
    • Record daily financial transactions in compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS).
    • Perform monthly and year-end closing processes.
    • Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure proper classification of financial entries.
    • Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial commentaries.
    • Analyze cost and expenses trends.
    • Process and review supplier invoices, staff reimbursements, and journal entries.
    • Manage staff advances, and loan repayments.
    • Liaise with the tax department and support during tax audits.
    • Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate potential business impacts.
    • Prepare schedules and documentation for external and internal audits.
    • Address audit queries and implement audit recommendations.
    • Support the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
    • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, track acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
    • Prepare monthly accruals and ensure all expenses are recorded in the correct accounting period.
    • Review historical data and supporting documents to establish and validate provisioning.
    • •Coordinate with departments to gather data for estimates and support documentation.
    • Record and monitor prepayments for rent, insurance, subscriptions, and other expenses.
    • Reconcile prepayment accounts monthly and investigate discrepancies.
    • Process and post customer receipts accurately in the ERP system

    Educational Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage or in progress.
    • 3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
    • Proficiency in accounting software.
    • Excellent use of Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, and VLOOKUP,

    Maintenance Manager - Electrical

    Job Responsibilities

    • Plan and organize maintenance of the relevant machines to ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
    • Supervise and manage a team of electrical technicians to ensure all electrical maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Develop and implement electrical maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
    • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
    • Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide timely and effective solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations and standards.
    • Coordinate with other departments to schedule electrical maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations.
    • Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Schedule maintenance activities and monitor maintenance electricians to ensure optimal skills and capacities utilization
    • Ensure jobs assigned and maintenance tasks are promptly carried out to prevent production loss due to machine downtime
    • Document and analyze maintenance parameters for plant improvement
    • Ensure effective and efficient troubleshooting/fault finding of machines and equipment to reduce downtime
    • Monitor the usage and handling of materials and tools assigned to electricians
    • Identify job skills gap of subordinates and organize on-the-job training
    • Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Professional certification (e.g., NSE, COREN) is an added advantage or in progress.
    • At least 10 years of cognate experience from FMCG companies or Feedmill industries or Poultry
    • Should have hands of experience on troubleshooting of control circuit faults.
    • Should have worked on troubleshooting of PLC machines.
    • Should be able to do maintenance on drives and electronic cards.
    • Should have strong fundamental knowledge of electrical and electronics.
    • Should have exposure to ERP and MS Office.

    Key skills and Competencies:

    • Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Be able to pay attention to details and accuracy.
    • Have excellent time management and prioritization skills.
