    Automobile Upholsterer

    Responsibilities

    • Remove old upholstery: Take out old upholstery from seats, door panels, and other areas of the vehicle
    • Measure and cut new materials: Use measuring tools and patterns to cut new upholstery materials to the correct size
    • Sew and attach: Use sewing machines or hand sewing to join sections of upholstery and attach them to the vehicle frame
    • Adjust or replace springs: Adjust or replace seat springs, and secure them in place
    • Repair convertible tops: Repair or replace convertible tops
    • Refurbish interiors: Replace cushions, drapes, and floor coverings to restore the interior of a vehicle
    • Attach accessories: Attach trim, buckles, fasteners, and other accessories to the vehicle.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND qualification with 3 - 10 years relevant work experience.

    Auto Mechanic (Diesel and Petrol Engine)

    Job Summary

    • The mechanic will perform diagnostic tests on vehicles, and complete inspection, maintenance and repairs on light vehicles, trucks, trailers, forklifts, pickups, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
    • As technicians, you will keep track of important system components such as diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and steering systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Run diagnostic tests on vehicles.
    • Analyze diagnostic test results.
    • Replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
    • Check vehicle lighting systems.
    • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
    • Perform preventative maintenance on service light and heavy vehicles.
    • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
    • Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.
    • Maintain parts inventory.

    Qualifications

    • Trade Test, Diploma, OND or HND in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.

    Qualifications

    • Welding expertise: Knowledge of different welding methods to repair metal panels effectively.
    • Automotive body repair knowledge: Understanding of vehicle body construction, panel alignment, and repair procedures.
    • Attention to detail: Ability to precisely align panels and achieve a smooth, even finish.
    • Hand-eye coordination: Excellent dexterity to manipulate tools and work with precision.
    • Physical strength: Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy vehicle panels.

    Auto Electrician (Rewires)

    Job Description

    • The Automobile Electrician will be mainly involved in installing and repairing electrical wiring, diagnosing problems with vehicle electrical systems, repairing damaged electrical parts, and maintaining electrical equipment for automotive machinery

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the repair of electrical and electronic faults in cars and motor vehicles. This may include replacing damaged or faulty parts where necessary.
    • Perform routine checks and tests to verify the condition of a vehicle.
    • Assemble and install electrical and electronic system in motor vehicles.
    • Gather information from customers about issues with their vehicle electrical systems.
    • Diagnose electrical issues and propose a satisfactory course of action which will result in problem solving.

    • Coordinate all electrical work being done on vehicle as and when due.
    • Advise customer on the usage of electrical part to avoid damage and ultimate loss.
    • Provide information for job report and service log.
    • Advise the purchasing unit on the best auto electrical part to purchase.
    • Relate with customers in friendly way to ensure close connection to with company.
    • Always maintain a clean working environment.
    • Ensure that tools and equipment are well stored after use.
    • Responsible for the handling of fragile tools and equipment to ensure their longevity.
    • Liaise with the workshop manager on the way forward to address a persisting problem.
    • Deliver excellent and top-notch electrical service to customers.
    • Suggest and advise the company on initiatives needed for growth and expansion.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in a related field with experience.
