    Pickup Driver

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a reliable Pick up driver who would be responsible for transporting goods from one location to another. Their job duties include loading their vehicles, abiding by traffic laws and ensuring safe unloading and delivery at their destination. .

    Responsibilities

    • Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by monitoring regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
    • Assisting with the loading and offloading of staff luggage, products, and materials where necessary
    • Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings.
    • Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
    • Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
    • Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
    • Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an FSLC qualification with 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Clean driving record.
    • Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
    • Working knowledge of local roads and routes.
    • The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and vehicle manuals.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Punctual and reliable.

    Dispach Rider

    Job Description

    • Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, and current status; answering questions.
    • Responsible for contacting customers to verify delivery address.
    • Responsible for picking up items and delivering them safely to customers on time.
    • Responsible for collecting monies for bought items upon delivery to the customer.

    Skills and qualifications

    • A minimum of Secondary School Leaving Certificate
    • 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.
    • Riders Card
    • Proven experience as a dispatch rider or relevant position.
    • Familiarity with relevant routes.
    • Must enjoy motorcycling and be a skilled rider.
    • Ability to communicate, read and write.
    • Organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Have good numeracy skills for delivery and expenses records.
    • Polite and able to get along with people.
    • Must live within the Island.
