    Head of Internal Audit / Compliance

    Brief Job Overview

    • We are looking for a Head of Internal Audit /Compliance to join our team, a professional responsible for Performing advanced and/or managerial auditing work for the firms Internal Audit, Internal Control, Risk Management, Compliance, Quality Assurance and Corporate Governance.

    Responsibilities
    The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):

    • Be adept with evolving accounting, regulatory and market developments impacting the CIO and financial units Work with the CFO to develop Organizational financial strategy.
    • Monitor and ensure Company-wide compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company procedures Manager relationships with a company's investors, partners, and other external stakeholders.

    • Preparation of the Annual Internal Audit Work Plan.
    • Assist in developing an annual budget based on the planned activities of the Internal Audit function.
    • Ensure the implementation of audits plan.
    • Review financial reports from External Auditors; conduct follow-up visits to Government Agencies in line with the report and annual audit plan or as the need arise.
    • Assist in the review and optimization of all company's assets, consumables, and operational cost; carry out assets verification exercise by regularly interfacing with the Administrative and Logistics Management Department.
    • Assist in coordinating and ensure that all recommendations contained in the Audit Report are implemented and monitored adequately.
    • Assist in highlighting areas where risks are not identified or where risk management processes could be improved.
    • Review and prepare report within stipulated Turn around Time for all operational processes or transactions.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of Quarterly Board Audit Reports
    • Support Regulatory Audit: ensure regulators get the required Internal Audit support to complete audit procedures.
    • Assist in investigations to ascertain the facts of fraud, irregularities, malpractices, and employee malfeasance and provide remediation steps and investigation report.

    Qualifications

    • A qualified chartered Accountant with 10 - 15 years of experience as an Internal Auditor / Head of Internal Audit in a reputable organization.
    • Manufacturing Industry Experience is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
    • Knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
    • Should possess strong analytical skills, Strategic thinking & Leadership abilities.

    Responsibilities

    Maintenance Supervisor

    Background

    Assistant Storekeeper (Technical)

    Responsibilities
    The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

    • Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase order.
    • Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders.
    • Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns.
    • Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels.
    • Update records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the electrical stockroom

    • Conduct inventory/stock counts, and pre/post-audit of all expenditures.
    • Periodic review of vendor creation and ensuring suppliers' accounts are accurately updated.
    • Conduct market surveys on an irregular basis.
    • Safeguarding all assets at the branch office.
    • Close monitoring of the operating activities of the fleet unit of the company.
    • Ensure that all stakeholders at the branch office comply with necessary statutory regulations.
    • Other duties as may be assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 3-5 years of proven working experience as an Internal Audit/Control Officer in the manufacturing industry.
    • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
    • Professional certification is an added advantage e.g. ICAN, ACCA, IIA, etc.

    Required Competence:

    • Technical accounting skills.
    • Mastery of accounting principles.
    • Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.

    Key Deliverables as an Internal Audit/Control Officer:

    • Control Environment: Ensure compliance with the policies, procedures, standards, processes, and ethical values set forth by the Firm’s Management Team.
    • Risk Assessment: Determine the impact and likelihood of risks in the firm occurring and influence what types of controls should be implemented to reach an acceptable level of residual risk.
    • Control Activities: Ability to assign system access based on the user’s established role and reviewed periodically by the individual’s manager.
    • Information and Communication: Ensure that employees are well-informed about internal controls. This includes disseminating relevant information throughout the organization and to external stakeholders on time. Facilitate effective communication channels, ensuring that employees understand the controls in place, know how to execute them, and are equipped to address any identified issues.
    • Monitoring: The continual evaluation of the design and functionality of internal controls. Conduct ongoing assessments to ascertain whether internal controls are operating as intended. Verify the effectiveness of controls, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance control mechanisms.

    Accounts Payable

    Background

    • We seek to hire a qualified and technically competent Accounts Payable Officer for its Aluminium and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. The Factory, which is based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminium and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes.
    • The Accounts Payable Officer will ensure the smooth flow of financial transactions within the Factory.

    Responsibilities
    The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

    • Manage petty cash accounts and record all outgoings in the factory.
    • Pay invoices, including Goods Services Tax (GST) and record all payments.
    • Track credits owed to the Factory.
    • Review all payments and expenses, including purchase orders, payroll, and invoices.
    • Reconciliation of monthly payable reports.
    • Prepare monthly expense statements and financial reports.
    • Respond to queries from suppliers, customers, and staff.
    • Process payments and financial transactions to suppliers and obtain goods and services from suppliers promptly.
    • Liaise with finance officers and suppliers concerning stock management, financial records, and accounts.
    • Maintain the processing and payment of vendor invoices accurately and on time.
    • Verify expense reports of the factory.
    • Streamline the payment process.
    • Assist with audits.

    Education and Experience

    • BSc. Accounting / Finance-related role.
    • Proven 5 years of work experience as a seasoned accountant, account payable specialist accountant, accounts payable officer, or similar role.
    • ICAN certification and membership.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in the Aluminum factory/ Manufacturing industry is an added advantage.

    Required Competence:

    • Account management.
    • Experience with accounting software, like Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Zoho, etc.
    • Payment processing.
    • Budgeting.
    • Productivity software (especially spreadsheets).
    • Accounting software.
    • Cash handling/tracking.

    • Mathematics.
