    Elevator Electrical Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Design and develop electrical control systems for elevator operation, including wiring diagrams, relay logic, and PLC-based controls.
    • Select appropriate electrical components such as motors, drives (VVVF), circuit breakers, and sensors.
    • Supervise and support the installation and commissioning of elevator electrical systems at client sites.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and performance issues in elevators and escalators.
    • Conduct functional and safety tests on elevator systems and ensure compliance with national and international standards (e.g., EN 81, ASME A17.1).
    • Coordinate with mechanical and civil engineers for integrated system implementation.
    • Maintain technical documentation, including circuit diagrams, test reports, and maintenance records.
    • Perform periodic maintenance checks and upgrades to elevator control systems.
    • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
    • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and electrical codes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
    • 3 – 5 years of experience in elevator or industrial control systems.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems in elevators (traction and hydraulic).
    • Experience with PLC programming, drive systems (e.g., VVVF), and motor control.
    • Proficiency in using CAD software for electrical drawings.
    • Familiarity with standards such as EN 81, ASME A17.1, and IEC electrical codes.
    • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a field-based environment and manage on-site issues
    • Professional Engineering License or COREN
    • Electrical Safety or Inspection Certification (e.g., OSHA, NAEC, NEBOSH, or equivalent).

    Elevator Mechanical Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Design and develop elevator mechanical systems including hoisting mechanisms, doors, buffers, brakes, and frames.
    • Prepare technical drawings and specifications using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
    • Supervise the installation and commissioning of new elevator systems at project sites.
    • Conduct mechanical inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of elevator equipment.
    • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
    • Collaborate with electrical and control system engineers for integrated elevator solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes (EN 81, ASME A17.1), and local regulations.
    • Review and improve elevator performance based on client feedback and performance metrics.
    • Maintain proper documentation including engineering drawings, maintenance logs, and service reports.
    • Support project management in planning, cost estimation, and procurement of elevator components.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
    • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in elevator design, installation, or maintenance.
    • Familiarity with elevator mechanics, hydraulic and traction systems.
    • Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical analysis tools.
    • Understanding of elevator safety codes and standards.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
    • Willingness to travel to project sites and work in the field when necessary.
    • Certification from elevator manufacturers (e.g., Otis, KONE, Schindler).
    • Safety or inspection certifications (e.g., NAEC CET, OSHA, or equivalent).
