    Senior Road Construction Manager

    Position Overview

    • The role will require the candidate to Oversee technical aspect of all road construction projects
    • This will involve managing the G&G, Petroleum Engineering, Well Engineering; Projects, Production Operations, and Materials at the GM level.


    • Lead the review of operational processes, policies, standards, as regards construction.
    • Coordinate the development and implementation of the construction SOP
    • Review well cost performance to ensure profitability of the business
    • Interprete drawing for team to implements


    • To be considered for the opportunity, you must meet the following requirements;
    • Degree in Civil Engineering Discipline (preferably Masters level).
    • A minimum of 15-20 years cognate road construction experience with at least 6as the construction Manager
    • Good knowledge of general E&P business in road construction projects.
    • Good presentation and reporting skills
    • Experience in co-ordinating multi-location teams will be an advantage.
    • Good knowledge of HSE policies and practices on construction sites.
    • Good knowledge of Contracts and Project Management,

    Project Manager - Construction


    • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
    • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
    • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
    • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
    • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
    • Meet contractual conditions of performance
    • Review the work progress on daily basis
    • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
    • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
    • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences
    • Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
    • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

    Requirements and Skills

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) with at least 9 years experience.
    • Proven working experience in construction management
    • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
    • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
    • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
    • Familiarity with construction management software packages
    • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
    • Competent in conflict and crisis management
    • Leadership and human resources management skills
    • Excellent time and project management skills.
