    Sales Head, C&I

    Division / Function: C&I

    Location of the Job: Abuja, Nigeria

    Reports to: VP C&I Business - Africa

    Role Summary

    The Sales Head – C&I will be responsible for driving business growth by developing and executing the sales strategy for solar and hybrid power solutions in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector. This role requires a deep understanding of energy needs in Nigeria, strong B2B sales expertise, and the ability to close high-value contracts with corporate clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales & Business Development

    • Develop and execute C&I sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share targets.
    • Identify, engage, and convert large commercial and industrial clients to solar and hybrid power solutions.
    • Build and manage a strong pipeline of corporate customers, including manufacturing plants, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
    • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and proposals to negotiation and contract closure.

    Market Strategy & Partnerships

    • Identify key market trends, regulatory policies, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
    • Develop strategic partnerships with banks, EPC companies, and technology providers to enhance solution offerings.
    • Drive market penetration by positioning the company as the preferred solar energy provider for C&I clients.

    Financial & Commercial Responsibilities

    • Work with finance teams to structure competitive financing options, including PPAs, leasing, and CAPEX models.
    • Ensure pricing strategies align with market dynamics and business profitability targets.
    • Negotiate contracts with corporate clients, ensuring commercial viability and risk mitigation.

    Team Leadership & Performance Management

    • Lead and mentor the C&I sales team, driving performance and sales efficiency in Future
    • Set and monitor KPIs to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
    • Develop training programs to enhance the team’s knowledge of renewable energy solutions.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Attributes

    • 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in C&I solar or energy solutions.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
    • Proven track record of closing large B2B energy deals (Solar PPAs, CAPEX, Leasing).
    • Strong network in the Nigerian commercial and industrial sectors.
    • Deep understanding of solar PV, battery storage, and hybrid power systems.
    • Experience structuring financial models for C&I solar projects.
    • Knowledge of Nigeria’s energy regulations, PPA structures, and financing options.
    • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work with multinational corporations, local businesses, and financial institutions.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen.

    Technical Design Engineer, C&I Solar

    Division / Function: Commercial & Industrial (C&I)

    Location of the Job: Abuja, Nigeria with 70% travel across locations in Nigeria.

    Reports to: VP C&I Business - Africa

    Role Summary

    Husk is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Design Engineer to lead and execute the site audits, system design, and technical development of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar energy projects ranging from 200kW to 10MW capacity. The role spans On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid energy systems, covering the full solution lifecycle from feasibility through to implementation support.

    Key Responsibilities

    Site Assessments & Feasibility Studies

    • Conduct physical site audits for rooftops, carports, and ground-mount solar installations.
    • Assess existing electrical infrastructure, energy demand profiles, and client operations.
    • Perform irradiance studies and shade analysis using industry-standard tools.
    • Gather data to develop technical and financial feasibility reports.

    System Design & Engineering

    • Develop detailed solar PV system designs (On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid).
    • Generate electrical drawings including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layout plans, and wiring schematics.
    • Conduct energy yield simulations and performance modeling using PVsyst, Helioscope, or HOMER.
    • Size and select system components: modules, inverters, batteries, protection systems, cabling, and structures.
    • Design integration with diesel generators and energy management systems (where applicable).

    Technical Documentation & BOQ

    • Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQs), equipment specifications, and scope of work documentation.
    • Provide technical support for proposals, tenders, and procurement.
    • Ensure designs comply with Nigerian electrical standards and international codes (NEC, IEC, IEEE, NERC, etc.).

    Project Support & Coordination

    • Collaborate with Project Managers during execution phases: construction, installation, and commissioning.
    • Provide technical clarification to vendors, EPC partners, and internal teams.
    • Support the development of monitoring, SCADA, and data logging frameworks.

    Required Skills and Attributes

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Renewable Energy, or Power Systems Engineering.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in C&I solar project design (200kW to 10MW scale).
    • Proven experience in On-Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid system design and delivery.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, HOMER, MS Excel, and SLD creation.
    • Solid knowledge of electrical system integration, battery storage (Li-ion, VRLA), and generator-PV sync.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian Distribution Company (DisCo) interconnection policies and load regulations.
    • Strong project ownership and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in field conditions.
    • Flexibility to travel frequently across assigned project locations.
    • COREN, NSE membership nice to have.
    • Solar PV design certification (e.g. GSES, SEI, or equivalent).
    • HSE awareness or site safety certifications.

    Salary

    NGN 400,000 to NGN 700,000 Negotiable based on experience
