    Accountant

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and update general ledger accounts including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
    • Record all transactions related to rides, logistics, and fleet operations.
    • Reconcile daily transactions with ride-hailing and driver payment systems.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Monitor and report revenue trends, driver payouts, commissions, and operational costs.
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
    • Handle tax calculations and ensure statutory compliance (e.g., VAT, PAYE, company income tax).
    • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
    • Generate financial reports to support decision-making for operations and growth.
    • Use accounting software and internal dashboards to ensure transparency and accountability.

    Requirements

    • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
    • Familiarity with ride-hailing or transport operations is a plus.
