    Metering Engineer

    The Metering Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of gas and liquid metering systems in a gas processing plant. This role plays a critical part in fiscal metering, custody transfer, allocation metering, and regulatory compliance, directly impacting revenue assurance and operational efficiency. The Metering Engineer is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of metering systems, ensuring they meet contractual, industry, and regulatory standards.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
    • Certifications in metering, flow measurement, or calibration (e.g., API, OIML, ISO 17025, NEL, or AGA).
    • #7 years of experience in gas metering, flow measurement, or instrumentation in a gas processing plant, LNG facility, or pipeline system.
    • Hands-on experience with ultrasonic, Coriolis, turbine, and orifice meters used in gas and liquid metering.
    • Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, PLC, and flow computing systems (e.g., Emerson, ABB, Honeywell, Schneider, Yokogawa).
    • Experience in meter proving, calibration, uncertainty analysis, and flow measurement diagnostics.
    • Knowledge of contractual agreements, production allocation, and fiscal metering principles.

    Senior Production Engineer

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and analyze gas processing plant performance to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
    • Develop and implement strategies to maximize throughput, minimize flaring, and reduce energy consumption.
    • Conduct bottleneck analysis and debottlenecking studies to improve plant capacity and reliability.
    • Work with process control engineers to optimize control loops, alarms, and setpoints.
    • Provide technical support to operations for resolving production issues, including compressor failures, separator inefficiencies, and gas dehydration issues.
    • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for plant upsets, unplanned shutdowns, and equipment failures.
    • Collaborate with maintenance and reliability teams to enhance equipment performance and prevent recurring issues

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • A master’s degree in Process Engineering or related field is an advantage.

    Certifications (Preferred):

    • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng)
    • API 570 / API 510 Certification for Equipment Integrity
    • NEBOSH / OSHA Certification for Process Safety
    • Lean Six Sigma Certification for Process Optimization
    • 8+ years of experience in gas processing, LNG, or petrochemical production.
    • Strong background in natural gas separation, dehydration, cryogenic processing, NGL recovery, and sulfur recovery.
    • Experience in troubleshooting compressors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and gas sweetening units.
    • Familiarity with process simulation tools (HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or PRO/II)

    Metering Lead

    The Metering Lead is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of all fiscal, custody transfer, and process metering systems in a gas processing facility. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry regulations, calibration standards, and contractual agreements while supporting production accounting, loss control, and operational optimization.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications such as Certified Hydrocarbon Measurement Technician (CHMT), API MPMS certification, or ISO 17025 Metrology
    • . #15+ years of experience in gas metering, flow measurement, and fiscal metering systems within the gas processing, LNG, refining, or petrochemical industry.
    • Strong background in custody transfer metering, flow measurement principles, and metering system troubleshooting.
    • Experience with AGA 3, AGA 7, AGA 8, API MPMS, ISO 5167, and OIML standards.
    • Hands-on experience with flow computers, gas chromatographs, and prover systems.

    Certifications (Preferred):

    • Mechanical & Rotating Equipment Certifications
    • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) – SMRP
    • Mechanical Integrity & Inspection Certifications
    • Safety & Process Safety Certifications
    • Shutdown, Turnaround, & Project Management Certifications
