    Quality Line Inspector

    Purpose of Job

    • The purpose of the job for Quality Line Inspectors is to conduct technical inspections on production lines and products manufactured ensuring adherence to quality standards, agreed specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout the production processes.

    Principal Accountabilties

    • Perform pre-line analysis before production begins to verify equipment readiness and ensure operational conditions meet standards, so as to address potential disruptions and maintain efficiency.
    • Carryout detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications to ensure early detection and prevention of quality issues.
    • Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols and regulatory requirements during inspections to maintain a safe working environment and compliance with industry standards.
    • Monitor the dispensing of recipes for blending to ensure accuracy and consistency in production processes, thereby maintaining product integrity, meeting quality standards, and ensuring uniformity in the final product.
    • Implement Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles to systematically identify, evaluate, and control food safety hazards throughout the production process, ensuring the production of safe and high-quality products.
    • Record and report inspection findings accurately and promptly, documenting any deviations or non-conformities to ensure transparent communication across the quality assurance chain, facilitate timely corrective actions, and uphold regulatory compliance and product integrity standards.

    • This includes implementing quality and safety protocols such as HACCP, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, while his boundaries encompass operational constraints and adherence to production schedules and protocols.

    Requirements

    • Interested candidates should possess an OND qualification with 1 - 4 years of work experience.

    Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer

    Job Description

    • The HSE Officer shall take responsibility for managing their master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor Health and Safety.
    • Responsible for detecting, monitoring, and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations.
    • Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority.
    • Investigate accidents that have occurred within incident areas.
    • Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
    • Issues PPE, take stock levels and alert when low stock is attained.
    • Carry out PTW Monitoring and review.
    • Ensure proper traffic management within the site and outside in cases of road work.
    • Ensure proper waste management (Waste segregation, storage, and disposal).
    • Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
    • Ensure PPE compliance is maintained.
    • Oversee total plant safety measures are adhered to.

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Occupational health and safety, Engineering related Science course.
    • Basic HSE certifications – Mandatory

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years HSE experience.
    • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing industry/ petrochemical industry

    The Person Must:

    • Be proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
    • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Have flexibility to environment and people.
    • Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Have excellent logic, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Be able to use Microsoft office suites packages.
